Yes Dolly wrote it and sang it first. She also remade it two other times-one of those being a duet with Vince Gill. I loved all of Dolly’s versions!

A friend of the family used to work security at a fancy hotel in Chicago. Neil Diamond complained to security that people were looking at him and he wanted them to stop it.
I can’t see him without thinking of that story.

I took my mom to one of his concerts. I have never seen so many middle-aged women sobbing and swaying in one place.
He puts on a great show, that is for sure!
