I haven't watch Idol in years. I happened to see it tonight. Is this what Idol has come to? This gal shouldn't have made it past her first audition.

Would be odd if he were just, boom, up and sent home.

Not just boring — BAD.
If he would have sung that way for his original screening, he would have never made it Hollywood.
He chose a bizzare key and cadence. Even the singers and the band had problems with it. And he was pitchy.
And going right after Holly hit it out the park made it worse by comparison.

I liked American Idol back when it was called “The Gong Show.”Have you seen the show "Repo Games"? Last night, one of the questions was "What was the instrument used on The Gong Show to signal a bad performance?
The contestant missed it. Yes ... they lost their car.

Listening to this trop OBJECTIVELY...........Hollie has WAY more DEPTH to her voice than jessica........Skylar is just fantastic...she is having fun, she doesnt take crap...in other words...she is a COuntry star!

The all-girl trio. Jessica, Skylar and Hollie tackle "Higher & Higher". Kind of a mixed experience. Some bad timing here and there.
Steven: (laughing, at a loss) Great. Weird arrangement. How can you go wrong with a Jackie Wilson song?
J-Lo: You are getting confidence up there. It was so cute for me. Like three little dolls.
Randy: The arrangment was a little weird. Had some holes in it. Very nice job.
