I'm starting to notice everyone -- and I mean EVERYONE -- having serious software issues. A website I manage is malfunctioning without decent reason; my home computer is acting strange; when I reached out to various friends, they are telling me the various systems they work around are all crashing. Even Emory (hospital) has had a major MedRec crash.
I'm starting to wonder if something deeper is going on. China, NorKorea, all our opponents -- any of them are capable of developing a 'quiet virus' that goes unnoticed by major Antivirus vendors. I wonder if we have been assaulted.
Please post if you are, or are not, seeing major computer issues in your neck of the woods.
So how would this be different from normal?
Things are working ok here on Lunar Station Beta, other than the normal latency issues we’ve learned to live with.
freakin’ Mayans...

Oops. Nobody’s supposed to know we’re here.
Thailand?
.
I guess we can consider this a dry run for the day it happens. :)
My computer was off this morning. I didn’t turn it off last night. [ominous music]
The only problem I notice is that FR runs slow most of the time.
During live events, such as the debates, it is nearly impossible to post in time to keep up with the live action.
I haven’t noticed problems on other websites, except them my local cable company is messing around with the internet feeds.
The way I fix problems is:
I hit it.
then things go back to Nermal...
John has a long moustache...
Funny!
All systems are functioning properly here Captain. . .
yes im series
Not surprised that many are delinquent in reading Juvenal, his satire and poetry were more suited to his time period than ours. </sarcasm>
Reboot your modem.
Not sure what the affected OS is but MS provided China with OS source code several years ago. I believe it was XP and Server 2003.
I recommend being on 64-bit Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7.
I wonder if we have been assaulted... I got assaulted last night. Cost me $75 but is was worth it. Damn, I got to pee now.
Diagnosis: You have cats.
Yep - post time clock has crept up to ten minutes fast....past experience tells me that FR will implode before it gets to 12 minutes fast.
At least this time, JR addressed the issue as a reason for the 'raise' of the goal for the quarterly FReepathon.
