Gwyneth Paltrow released her GOOP newsletter, Jan. 5, promoting her GOOP cleanse kit, which costs $425, but doctors interviewed by HollywoodLife say cleanses have no scientific proven value and are complete bunk!
Dont spend your money or your effort subjecting yourself to actress Gwyneth Paltrows cleanse or anyone elses, say top NYC doctors.
Cleansing is the equivalent of snake oil, says NYC internist, Dr. Robert Bos.
He adds that there is no scientific proof that a cleanse will help give your digestive system a break, eliminate toxins, rebuild beneficial bacteria or give you more energy, as Gwyneth promises in her GOOP newsletter.
Gwyneths cleanse program instructs you to drink her protein shake for breakfast, have a solid meal for lunch, another shake for dinner and take her GOOP clean supplements (which arent explained) throughout the day.
She claims that her cleanse will give your digestive system a break and will also improve energy levels by bringing in high-quality vitamins and nutrients. She also claims that her program will rebuild beneficial bacteria and eliminate toxins, and she says she has lost weight doing this in the past.
The cost of her GOOP cleanse is $425!
Now heres what top doctors had to say about her claims:

Sounds like a lot of poop!
Any time I feel the need for a good cleansing, I stop in at Tong’s Thai restaurant in Springfield.
A plate of Kang Puk and you get Kang Puk Gut !
I do something similar... if I need a cleaning out, all I need is some Pizza Ranch fried chicken...
A crappy topic!
she’s such a joke isn’t she?
She should get her peanut sized brain GOOPED. Maybe eliminate the Marxist toxins roaming around in that vacuous wasteland of a skull.

Along the same lines, those of us who are lactose-intolerant get a pretty good clean-out from a pint of Haagen-Dazs!
And an IQ lower than her bra size.
Always with the ‘eliminate toxins’ with these things. Eat a good diet. Want a “colon blow” cleanse, buy generic Psyllium husks and take a glass for a day or two.
If you fly a lot, you sometimes get backed up and that’s always worked for a friend of mine so I bought some, of course it could be the airline’s food. I take a lot of meds so it helps when they screw up your GI tract although with anti-biotic, you get the reverse affect and the last thing you want is Psyllium husks...
Based on the photos from my colonoscopy it appears the colon is completely clean from a simple fast and laxative, in my case I believe it as Go Lightly. Colon walls were pink and nothing else there.
She’s a huge Obama supporter, so why should we be surprised that she hawks another massively expensive fad product that has been proven ineffective?
I hate to make light of lactose intolerant but I used to laugh at it because I thought it was a made up thing but no, I know someone who has it and it is no joke.
My wife made me watch Country Strong. That movie sucked.
then the ho had 3 long term relationships before settling down with current husband (who can't be too bright)
she named her spawn Apple and Moses... enuf said...
She’s always good for some funny comments on FR!
The Kadashians had a spot "at the spa" where Kourtney K. tried to push this treatment on her sister--the oil enema--which was part of the massage. First of all who wants to gets an enema on TV? Then there are the Nude Yoga teachers.
Put a Celeb's puss or message on it..and it sells.
A couple of bucks for citrate of magnesia will “cleanse” the pipes clean as the inside of the barrel on a brand new shotgun.
