RINOS think we'll just hold our nose (again) if Mittens <somehow> becomes the GOP Nominee.
Not I. Not ever.
Between Newt, Rick Santorum and Rick Perry......who do you really want to see SURGE in the coming weeks?
Would you ever cast a Romney vote under any conditions?
If not........... (and Romney is the nominee) what will you do on voting day?
Not I. I would do a write-in. Palin/West would be my choice at this point.
OK, so.........if it's between Newt or Rick Santorum................who would get your vote?
NO
The perfect should not be the enemy of the good.Yes, only Willard is not just not good, he's worse than Obama since he pretends that his progressive policies, e.g. mandates, are conservative.
Neither does mine In MD.
I just go to the polls to piss off the Dem workers simply by showing up.
:)
My first and second favorite candidates have dropped out. I have yet to decide among those remaining. I will do so, and it won’t be Mitt. Eventally, I will have to order from the menu, or let someone else do it for me.
No, thanks, I’ll do it myself.
In the Primary, I vote to select the person I want.
In the General, I vote to defeat the person I do not want.
Therefore:
Since the main mission of the General Election of 2012 is the defeat of Barry Soetoro, I will vote for the Republican Nominee.
Even if hs name is Dole McCainovich Squishy Rockefeller XVIII.
When we gather around the campfires among the decayed wreckage of our country, I will not be one of those who say “I could have voted against him, and chose not to.”
Finally: see tag.
Nope. I will write some one in. I will vote, but for the rest of the ticket.
See my tagline. lol
Mitt's obviously the party establishment favorite. What really matters on election day is who you cast your ballot for, and nobody will know who that is. In the mean time, telling them you'd vote for Romney makes it more likely he'll be the nominee. They'll do whatever they think they can get away with. The only way they'll do anything different is if it starts to look like they won't get away with it again.
I can understand voting for Romney when the time comes, but don't tell them you will beforehand. That just makes them keep pushing rinos at us.
I agree. Romney is bad, but he is not a communist like 0.You're going to have to do better than trying to scare me into voting for Romney. Let Romney "win" with all his alleged moderate and independent support.
Frankly, I'm fed up with the stupidity and childishness of many conservatives. When candidates come along who are social and fiscally conservative, they are ignored or ridiculed ("sounds like my bitchy ex-wife;" "he's not getting traction, so I'll wait"). Instead, many follow dummies like Perry, soporific old fogies like Fred Thompson, manipulative old pols like Newt, neo-Huckabees like Santorum, etc.
Let's not assume Romney's got it. It ain't over yet. Better to participate in the primaries rather than just give it to the author of Obamacare.
The choice is very clear.
At this point the choice is NOT: Romney or Obama
The choice at THIS point is:
Romney or Santurum or Newt or Perry or Huntsman or Ron Paul
RE: Would you cast a Romney vote?
In the primaries? NO.
But if the general elections forces me to choose between Romney and Obama, I will reluctantly pull the lever for Romney.
Think about it, REGARDLESS of what I do, stay home or vote, EITHER Romney or Obama will be the next President.
Why allow a greater evil to prevail without doing anything to slow it down?
BTW, that is Mark Levin’s rationale too.
0bama's goons are scanning these threads and laughing at us and knowing they get another 4 years to destroy us all.
So many FReeper's are self-defeating, holier-than-thou, all-or-nothing pseudo-conservatives. A true conservative wouldn't gamble our future on another 4 years of a commie dismantling our way of life.
What has the GOP shown us in the last 2 decades that leads any of you to think you'd get a more conservative candidate in 2016? And even of we somehow break the GOP's multi-decade leftist trend, 0bama will have changed voter demographics so much (through amnesty, more ultra-lib judges and justices, a larger entitlement class, etc.), we may not matter by then.
Wake up FReepers. It's not about your feelings ... it's about our survival! Knock back a bottle of antacid and vote for the GOP candidate or you'll only be helping your enemy.
If The Republican nominee is Romney, I will write in Newton Leroy Gingrich.
Yes, he is. A Romney win is a BIG loss for the Tea Party. The Tea Party candidates are Newt, Santurum and Perry. Unfortunately, because there are three Tea Party candidates and only one GOP establishment candidate. Romney is very lucky that the Tea party has 3 spoilers splitting the conservative vote. That's the biggest threat of a Romney win.
Recipe for Romney to go down:
*Perry to stop his campaign (being so far down in the polls)
Yes, I would vote for Romney because I care about the future of the United States. Because Obama would only be able to get more of his ‘recess appointments’ and ‘czars’ into office to do more insidious things and to steal my earnings in order to pay for his follies.
**Would you ever cast a Romney vote under any conditions?**
Why would a Catholic who is pro-life support Romneycare that offers tax dollars for abortions?
Absolutely not!
We will NOT vote in lockstep with a dog abusing,
lying, backstabber.
NOPE. And it will turn off the vote to the rest of the
ticket which is Romney’s plan to begin with
(whether he gets the nomination, or not, like last time).
By default you'd be voting for the closest thing we've had to communism in these United States... Obama.
