Great, great swordsman who understood more than just his specialty. When he was criticized by some other swordsmaster because his choreography wasn't realistic enough, he responded “Hey, it's a movie!”
He was brilliant and still working at what he loved at 90.

Mr. Anderson was THE swordmaster. Incidentally, any of you with the chance should definitely take up the article’s suggestion of viewing Reclaiming The Blade. It’s the best documentary on swords I think I’ve ever seen. It’s worth your time.
