As a niners fan, I’ve got to give a big thank you to the Rams for firing Spags. With all their injuries, it’s amazing they won two games.

I dont know, taking a shot every time Jaws ends a sentence in an upward inflection or otherwise sounds retarded keeps it interesting too.

Was Jeff Garcia ever snatched up? He’s good to win a few games down the stretch.

The Bears should persue either Matt Flynn or Dan Orlovsky for their QB. The Colts should have started DanO instead of Curtis Painter. Matt Flynn is a great QB, and he had a record setting day as Aaron took a day off.

LOL. And I do hope Jaws comes back as well. He does seem to get sleepy at the start of the 3rdQ.

St. Louis has the number two pick.

Minnesota has the third pick, which they will waste no matter what they do. Unfortunately I didn’t see any news that they had fired Leslie Frazier and the entire football staff, which means whatever they do, it will be the wrong choice. Again.

Problem with the Cowboys isn’t Romo and Garrett, but rather Mr. Jones himself.

The Jets should keep Ryan. The team just needs a QB who is smarter than the kicking tee. If Ryan insists on keeping Sanchez, then he should be fired for lack of judgment.

LOL. Yeah, Jones hadn’t strapped on a pair of cleats and hit the gridiron in some 40 years but he sure takes the blame. Blame Jones for Rob Ryan, Garrett and Romo. ROMO, good stats, but can’t win the big games. But win they beat a losing team, they act as though they won the SB.

hope Spags makes it back to the Giants as Def Coordinator.
Agree. Send Fewell back to the Buffalo Jills where he belongs.
Spags tightens down the defense and Jints win SB next year.

The Jets really need to sit down and think about what exactly they want to be as an organization. This goes all the way up to the ownership level. Ryan's coaching isn't the problem, but his attitude reflects the team's overall culture which has really taken a step backward in the last few years.

The Jets can do well with a flamboyant personality like Ryan as the head coach, but when you match that up with a somewhat aimless set of draft choices, questionable free agent signings and "problem children" on the roster (see Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes as Exhibits A and B on that one), it's not a good fit.

Just compare the last four weeks of the season for the two New York teams and see how much of a difference attitude and direction make to an NFL franchise. The Giants ended up in the playoffs with their 9-7 record even though their game against the Jets last week could easily have gone the other way if the Jets had more fortitude and better execution.

Biggest coaching question in my mind is what happens to Tom Coughlin and the Giants. Next year is his last year on his current contract, and even though I think he's been very good for the team I'm not sure it's a good move to sign him to an extension. And if they don't do that, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to have him coach next year as a "lame duck."

You obviously don’t understand.

Jones, who hasn’t “strapped on a pair of cleats and hit the gridiron in some 40 years” has ruined the Cowboys through inept micromanagement. He can’t keep his fingers out of the pie, because it’s his pie.

So, under his thumb, a once-proud franchise sank into mediocrity.

Romo gets props from me for still being in the game, considering that Jones won’t provide a decent offensive line, just rookies and inexperience.

And, were Jerry to fire Garrett, he’d have to find someone to take his place, and no truly good coach will put up with Jones and his interference. He’s too arrogant and egotistical to hire a general manager.

I disagree. How is it Jones fault? Jone has brought in alone three super Bowl trophies which is more than 24 teams in league have in their entire franchise history. I remember that Jones hired Bill “Let but the groceries” Parcels and who did he bring in? Vinny Testaverde and Marion Barber over Stephan Jackson.

Any way Jerry Jones can be fired? As long as he is there, Dallas’s light is dim, almost dark.

If Dallas were another team the Dallas haters would point out that Dallas has had a lot key injuries to skill postions in that two years including to their two number one draft picks. I remember all we heard was woe when the 0bama Colts lost poor Payton Manning for the year.

OUIT kidding yourself.

But I do love Cowboy fan excuses.

I don't like Jones, but he is a winer. Rings, new Stadium and a financially sound team.

Jones hired good coaches before, he would get them again. Many would jump for the offer.

He has plenty of talent on the team, just an inexperienced head coach and a worthless fat defensive coordinator.

But please don't change anything Jones.

Winners find ways to win. Romo is not a winner.

Couple years back I said to get rid of Phillips and Romo.
One went but the one on the field stayed. It's costing you guys playoffs.
With the help of Phillips, the Texans are going to the playoffs.
Cowboys are staying home.

You're probably right I don't understand how Cowboys blew some games they were winning till the 4thQ started.

But hey, easy for a Cowboy fan to blame it on the owner who already delivered the Cowboy fans some rings and not the nitwits on the field and sideline calling the game.

Garrett will make an excellent QB coach but keep him away from clock management.

Romo is a great backup.

Good luck next year with another losing season.

True that! And the defensive backs are a major problem too. And the offensive line. Dallas can't protect the QB and when the D line and linebackers blitz, the dbacks give the other team a first down or worse.

Why anyone would blame just Romo for Dallas' ills is beyond stupid, IMO. He's only a part of it.

I know you meant "can't".

Not many could afford to buy the team. Jones has really made it successful despite the losing seasons.

Hats off to him.

Can't wait for next season.

Jones makes the hiring decisions. The string of bad coaches and overpaid players that marks the last 15 years of Cowboy history are all people he decided to bring in. He brought in Parcells, be hired Garrett before Phillips and completely emasculated his head coach, he fired Phillips, he didn’t keep Sean Payton, speaking of people going to New Orleans how about not picking Drew Brees. Jones is President and GM, Jones is the guy that made all those decision.

What it really boils down to is Jones doesn’t know how to run a team in the cap era. His style of GMing is building flashy teams, he wants to put together big name talent in high end positions and let the rest of the team ride in their wake. In the pre-cap era it worked well. He got that one last SB as the cap was locking into place, and since then they’re basically a 500 team that sneak into the playoffs every couple of years and lose.
