Waaaay tooooo many young ones have absolutely no work ethics, period! The world owes them a living they have never worked to earn. I feel I owe them nothing!Absolutely!
I remember starting out as a paperboy, had 4 different routes from 12 to 15 years old. Then I got a job as a boxboy in a grocery store.
Next came my Navy Days and I advanced in my rate each time a test came up.
After the Service I started as a plumber's apprentice and worked my way to journeyman.
Start at the bottom and work up in a trade rather than starting midstream and expect the top.

But that's the way we were raised. Nothing was handed to us. Worked from the time I was old enough (and never had to have a work permit). I may not have made a whole lot of money at some jobs but what I made was mine and was allowed to do what I wanted with it...spend it or save it. Did some of both. Bought all my own clothes.
My first car cost $350 and my Mom thought that was outrageous and it was only 3 yrs old! lol Loved them gas wars we had!
My, how times have changed!

Surprised By God
January 10, 2012
If Naomi had dreamed about returning to her former home prosperous and successful, entering Bethlehem would have been a nightmare. While living in a foreign land, she had lost her husband and two sons and returned with only her daughter-in-law Ruth and a heart full of sorrow. Do not call me Naomi [pleasant]; call me Mara [bitter], she told her former neighbors, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me (Ruth 1:20).
But this wasnt the end of the story. When the discouraged Naomi saw Gods hand in Ruths life, she said, The Lord . . . has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead! (2:20). What appeared to be a dead-end had become a doorway for these two women who had lost so much.
The Old Testament book of Ruth is a wonderful story. The brief narrative is infused with an amazing sweetness and grace as the Lord is mentioned time after time.
Through Naomi and Ruth, we are reminded that God works in surprising ways to make His love known and to accomplish His purposeseven during difficult times.
Gods surprises continue so we can take heart. He has not stopped showing His kindness to you and me.
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure
Gives unto each day what He deems best
Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest. Berg
What we see of Gods provisions teaches us to trust Him for what we cannot see of His purposes.
Read: Ruth 2:17-23
The
Lord . . . has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!
Ruth 2:20

After your coffee have a great Tuesday!
I have lots to do today and
will check in sometime!
Thank you Amy, for the Bad Moon Rising
this morning. I think we had a full moon last night but it was very cloudy here!
Usually it shines through the cracks
of the blinds and puts my eyes out!
I have a lot to do today so see you when I can!
I have a man cutting a dead tree down at the moment!

Good to see you this morning, Jaycee.
I have an appt with the eye doc this afternoon. I’ve finally made several appts that I have ignored for the last six months or so.
It has been good to have a few minutes here this morning and yesterday.
See you when you get back. Have a beautiful day.
