“San Jose Police Detective Matthew Christian created a document, on letterhead that bore the seal of the Santa Clara County Crime Lab, which falsely stated that Michael Kerkeles’s semen was found at the alleged crime scene. The fake report purported to be authored by a technician named ‘Rebecca Roberts.’ Christian then testified under oath that the report was true.

Once when a cop told me “I’ll say whatever you want me to say” I just dismissed the case.
They are corrupt and power hungry.

Anytime a Public Servant makes a deliberate false statement which jeopardizes a citizen or causes any injury or loss it should be a LIFE SENTENCE and Complete seizure of all ASSETS, let their family live on welfare and put their children in Foster Care. This crap will stop only then.
This waste of blue polyester had been trying to gull the subject into a confession, but he wisely refused and reported it to his attorney who did a little footwork and discovered the document was phony. Then the w.o.b.p. forgot that it was in his “lie” file and testified to it in court. All manner of feces struck the propeller and rightly so.
Another ‘hero’ in blue....

wops. the reportedly intended interview with the subject never happened. the document popped up first in court. well, what a convenient excuse for testifying to garbage in court... just a “routine police mix up.” still a case as blatant as this, with the lie in black and white on paper, is more egregious than normal (normal NOW that is, who knows what our Rulers have in mind for the future).
Funny I did not see anything in the article about SUBORNING PERJURY by the DISTRICT ATTORNEY in this case,Nor the Judge for allowing FALSE TESTIMONY. sending note now to greenhut.

I think three times whatever sentence, fine or loss the citizen could have endured would suffice...

Even more when I read about the cops in OC who were caught planting a gun at the scene of a crime and defended it as “a training exercise”.

Do you think for one second you would be afforded the same opportunity?? I think not, I have NO MERCY for ANY PUBLIC SERVANT that makes Deliberate False Statements that jeopardizes anybody’s freedom. Personally I think they deserve the DEATH PENALTY in cases like this. For they are the WORST TYPE OF CRIMINAL known to Mankind. remember they took an OATH and should be held to the absolute highest standards of LAW.

The DA would need to know the document was a phony to be culpable. “Oh, Officer Jones never clued me in that this was a ruse document, not a testimony document.” And the judge can kick @$$ for a fraud on the court, but it’s only after the fact, and probably just to ding the DA a fine and forbid him from using that cop again in testimony. So nobody really bears responsibility, it’s just an “oops” mix-up that got “caught” when the “system worked.” And the step from there to serious nod and wink is very, very tiny.
