My issue is primarily with Gingrich’s record as of late. He has allied himself on the wrong side of some of the issues which have caused incredible destruction to America - he supports ethanol production and subsidies, has a plan for amnesty, has accepted consulting money for Fannie/Freddie and has suppported cap-and-trade legislation as a glpbal-warming advocate. Yes, I realize he has changed his position several times on this... which only proves, again, that he is another greasy politician who is an excellent advocate for whichever way the wind is blowing.
We’ve had enough Washington insiders, enough career politicians, and enough backroom dealers. Newt is only the lesser of two evils in this race... and perhaps that is what saddens me the most. Is he better than Odumbass? Of course. Is he a small-government, small-spending, anti-UN and anti-environazi conservative? Is he the guy we have waited for through the last four administrations, the pro-America conservative superman that will lead us from the darkness into a rationally conservative revolution? Probably not.

Next ...Newt owned 3 consulting firms...one in Atlanta, one in St Louis and one in DC; he had a staff of over 30 employees on the payroll plus overhead for the 3 offices. He was approached as a consultant...in the PRIVATE sector. He offered advise they did not heed...and his money was paid over a period of years, divided among his staff and maintaining his businesses. It was legal, what he made was chump change when compared to most consultants. You do know even our military hires consultants in the private sector? it is called free enterprise.
