Fur-lined underwear has been banned in Uzbekistan after authorities deemed it too sexy I could have guessed why the big shots in Uzbekistan did not like those furry undies. I would like to make you guys familiar with the situation we have had in Uzbekistan since several years. As you probably know the most popular TV channels are still russian ORT, RTR, STS etc. Erotic movies and films with adult content are shown very often. The uzbek authorities are very strict regarding nudity on the TV screens, that is why the viewers in Uzbekistan can watch the movies but when it comes to those interesting moments (love scenes) the regional media authorities just cut them off and play some local commercials instead. And after the love scene is finished the viewers can continue watching the movie. I remember even watching a movie when during the “hot scenes” they would cut off the picture but you could still hear what was going on. That was really ridiculous but believe me we could not do anything to stop that nonsence. As I was explained once such practicies were invented in order to protect the morals of the Uzbek citizens. I’m saying a lot of things in todays Uzbekistan are the legacy of the USSR. Like there was “no sex” in former Soviet Union there is no sex on Uzbekistan’s TV screens. Now the autorities decided to go even further and prohibit selling and wearing fur-lined underwear because they believe that the soft fur can cause erotic fantasies.

Would these past muster?

Hopefully the question will remain irrelevant on this side of the pond (no offense intended to the former Utah governor).

...they would cut off the picture...

What about the people who do the censoring? They are not harmed by the stuff they see while they are "protecting" the public? (The basic falsely of censorship.)

Sounds like a job opportunity for those who weren’t bright enough for TSA.

Ummm, are you now endorsing the Uzbeki "Bestiality Is Best" publicity campaign?

Hopefully that fur is laced with asbestos.... :)
