Dog doo prompts Pasco woman to pull out shotgun, deputies say

PORT RICHEY — Debra Jackson was tired of a neighbor's dog defecating in her yard, authorities say.

So when she saw the dog and his owner Wednesday afternoon, she grabbed her shotgun.

"I'm having a bad day," said Jackson, 50, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report. "I'm gonna shoot you and that dog."

I live in Pinellas, Pasco’s high-brow sister, and I agree that Pasco is the armpit of west central Florida. They are, however, getting better, esp. in the eastern parts of the county. Most of the trash lives west of US 19.

Yes, I would agree with you. I was thinking mostly of where I grew up, which was unfortunately in Dade City, San Antonio, St. Leo, Zephyrhills, area.

Those "non-lethal" loads are still dangerous at close range, and discharging a firearm at somebody, in town, will no doubt earn multiple criminal charges being filed.

Totally understand the frustration. Living in a rural area many of my neighbors think it's fine to let your dogs out to roam. The red rider BB gun works fine in scaring the crap out of them somewhere else.

A few years ago, some gal used to DRIVE her dogs over to our street and allowed them to poop at will, and usually in my yard.

Hubby (usually the calm, reasonable one in our household)decided he’d had enough....one day, he scooped it up and carefully dumped it all over the hood of her car.

She never came back.

Why are individuals on this thread quick to celebrate someone pointing a shotgun at a guy and his 2 year old and 11 month old granddaughters out looking for their escaped dog? If someone did that to me and my grandkids there might of could be an arson fire at her house later that evening....

better idea that works . you pick it up in one of those little blue bags just for that useage. . while still inside out you grasp the drivers side door handle and sqeeze, leaving leaving it still attached if it falls off all the better
