So far my favorite this year is a collection of vintage, Sean Connery, Bond movie posters.

I’d love to have a Python. Don’t ever get rid of it, that’s a classic. I keep hinting that I’d love to see a Barrett M82-A1 under the tree ... No luck yet!

I would have to choose TWO favorite Christmas presents. One was a small cross made of Mother of Pearl. It was given to me by my Dad who was terminal at the time. It was the first time I ever received jewelry as a gift and I felt so grown up. Dad passed on New Year’s Eve and I have worn that necklace on my wedding day, the births of my children and every Christmas holiday through New Years since.

The second present was a necklace made for me by my son (who was five at the time). White string with balls of tin foil as “silver pearls”. I still have that as well and will wear it on occasion to get my teen to laugh. Funny but the gifts from the heart mean the most and that is the way it should be.

My best Christmas present ever: A 1969 Remington Model 870 Wingmaster 12 ga. 2-3/4” chamber 28’ vent rib modified choke shotgun, beautiful walnut wood; I was 14 that Christmas.

I got a daughter for Christmas 17 years ago. It was a pretty good present for the first 12-13 years.

I would have preferred a gun of a caliber comprised of nothing but prime numbers.

It’d be easier to find ammo for it.

I’m like that

Just like that

I have 2 Python snubs (2”), one of them is my carry gun. Absolutely love that gun! I also have a Python .38 Target, 8” barrel, bright nickel finish. So much fun to plink with that one, as it has next to zero kick.

Santa brought me my favorite Christmas present when I was 19--an AM/FM portable radio with a cassette player that could record from the radio. Until then, no one in our family had either a radio that had the FM band or a cassette player. Now, I could record songs from my favorite radio programs. Before Christmas Day was over, I recorded my first song from the radio--and you can listen to it right here.

I remember ripping the paper and seeing my first model train set. I just stared at it for a minute, not believing that I’d actually gotten it. And then I struggled to get the box open.
And then my wife gave me a pair of scissors to cut the tape on the box.

I can’t remember very many gifts, although the homemade clothes my Grama made me (she’s still with us, and nearly 94) do stand out as something special. My favorites were the flannel nightgowns she often made. She was a very accomplished seamstress and would also sew blouses. She made my flower girl gown for her daughter’s wedding, and she also made me a beautiful yellow Easter coat.

Her sewing skills did not rub off on me!

What I do remember best about Christmas as a kid, is being with family, and the wonderful food and good cheer.

.356 Colt Python

Was that the special version designed to shoot both .357 and 9MM(.355)?
