I recently discovered a great money-saving website. It’s called FreeShipping.org. Now that we’re approaching the heavy holiday shopping period I thought you might like to know about FreeShipping.org, where you can get information on all of the free shipping deals available through most popular online retailers. After all, if you’re going to buy online, you should not pay for shipping unless you absolutely have to.

This website can really help you save some money. But keep in mind, I recommend that you visit FreeShipping.org only when you’re ready to buy. The site, and the free shipping deals, are built to drive more sales than you might have originally planned. So stay focused and only make your intended purchase.

Free shipping isn’t always the best deal, if one wants the product(s) fairly soon.

Last year and this year, I order some Amazon Super Saver free shipping products. Last year, I also ordered some paid-for shipping products through Amazon.

Typically, the free shipping items took 8 to 16 business days to arrive, while the paid-for-shipping items took 3 to 5 business days.

I suspect Amazon puts a hold on free-ship items in an attempt to get customers to join their Amazon Prime.

Per the shipping trackers, several of the free-ship packages I ordered were delayed several days. One package sat 5 business days in NJ, then 4 business days in PA, and 4 business days in MS. Another package sat 4 business days in OH and 3 business days in MS.

L.L. Bean is big on offering free shipping. I can buy about the same things from Land's End, but I must pay shipping.

Shipping is built into the sales price as a comparison of prices between these two big on-line retailers show. Land's End plus shipping charges is still a better value than L.L.Bean with free shipping most of the time.

With double L, I think you have to use their credit card. I could be wrong.

I think you have to use their credit card Depends. Right now you don't (I just ordered something from them). Usually you do though (Ordered another thing in Oct, used a relative's card to get the free shipping....)

No wonder I’m confused! I do like the quality and fit of their clothing compared to Land’s End stuff.

I bought the LL Bean slippers with the fuzzy lining for Mrs WBill for Christmas.

She loves them, literally walked through the soles on her current pair. $60 is cheap at the price for something that she lives in for 4 or 5 months a year.
