As others have said, when Roger Simon is writing Tiger Beat style articles about any Republican, take it with a grain of salt.

Gingrich, an historian, has called the Palestinians an “invented people.” Nobody asks him whether Americans “invented” themselves in 1776, however.

Oh brother. Roger Simon thinks Newt the Historian wouldn't have wacked this one over the cheap seats as well?

I am sooo happy that a GOP candidate can actually speak! One who can actually complete sentences! Off topic...why do we continue to allow a-holes like Diane and George moderate these debates? I’ve always thought these should be handled by people who actually have a patriotic interest in the welfare of America. You know, folks who understand liberty and freedom etc.

"Newt Gingrich, and he has become the Sultan of Swat."

Given all the women he's had, it should be the 'Sultan of *wat.'

This election will be decided on substance not style.

A good campaign add for Newt would be a shot of Mitt with his hand extended (maybe the one we see here on FR with the diamonds in his teeth, and a caption that says:

I’m telling you I should be President, Ten Thousand Bucks. $10,000, Bet?

>“Let’s be candid,” Newt replies. “The only reason you didn’t become a career politician is that you lost to Ted Kennedy in 1994.”<

This quote is far better than “I knew Jack Kennedy”, much to the MSM’s great distress.

Clearly if Newt was really the 'inside the beltway' guy; those 'inside the beltway' would be voting for him. No?

There is an irony here; with Mitt bragging that he is NOT the career politician; when all our Repub 'Establishment' is supporting him.

In which case; what does it matter 'who' is who'; rather than 'what constituency' a candidate is serving. And which power constituency is serving that candidate. . .
