When the game is on the line, you just know that Tebow will be clutch. When the game is on the line, you just know that Tony Romo will choke.

Not to dismiss the play of Eli Manning tonight, but Romo could have won this by completing a pass.

Romo, of course, “plays” for the Dallas Cowboys. The mistake is my own — inspired by the performance of Mr. November tonight. Rob Ryan’s defense was not exactly inspiring when it counted.

? WTF happened? I wasn’t watching but saw a headline about 10 minutes ago that the Cowboys were in control of the game? What happened?

Romo got them into position for the FG, it got blocked. Really Romo was pretty solid all night, the team just didn’t put the bow on it.

By any objective comparison Romo far outshined Tebow in his play, even allowing for “clutch” situations. Tebow is on a bubble. If it doesn’t break, I fully expect angels to come down and take him straight up to heaven after a 10-7 superbowl win on a last second 65 yard field goal.

So naturally, I’m rooting for the guy.

I work with a Romo fan, and another fellow that is Vietnamese.
On day there was a cricket missing a rear leg spinning around on the floor...

The viet guy points it out to the Romo fan and says “wook tony womo”!!

I almost died laughing!

Romo can put up video game numbers but when the chips are down, he fails. I’d take Eli as my QB every day. As for Tebow...it’s working for now and his ability to come back in the 4th quarter is amazing. I’m not a believer in gimmicky offenses having staying power in the NFL though.

Compare and contrast the performance of Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos with that of Tony Romo of the Denver Broncos

Got a little too excited there, didn't ya?

Romo was solid all night long. Cowboys ran up the scoreboard on the rushing offense alone. Giants defense wasn’t altogether there most of the night. As I told someone earlier tonight, when you stop and think back over the course of the season, every team in the NFC East have managed to stumble at the same time. Giants iced the Dallas kicker in the end and that made the difference.

How about Cam Newton and the Panthers today? Big lead at halftime, down by 1 with 6 minutes left, yet the FG gets blocked, and ATL immediately responds with a quick TD. Had Tebow been QB, there would have been a Panthers comeback. Alas, down by 8, you knew the game was over. Newton completed 19 of 39 passes for 276 yards, with 2 TDs and 2 interceptions. Tebow was 21 of 40 for 236 yards, with 1 TD and 1 interception. Yet most pundits will tell you Cam Newton is infinitely better than Tebow.

I'll just say this.

Bet there won't be any opponent players mocking him during the game anymore.

Romo played well. Much better than Tebow in every aspect of the game. He moved right down the field in 40 seconds to get his kicker in position. I didn’t see Romo on the field when the defense let the giants run down the field twice for two touch downs in the last two drives. That’s what lost the game.

Here's the difference: Tebow's strong leadership has made the Broncos' defense play at an unbelievable level for two months!

And don't think New England will have an easy time when they play the Broncos this coming Sunday. The Patriots are vulnerable to a strong defense, and the Patriots own defense can be marginal at times. If the Broncos do manage to win, Tebow will definitely go into the discussion for MVP.

Tebow is a leader, Romo is a golfer who plays football.

Tebow makes the guys around him better, and the rest of the team takes on his personality.

Romo doesn’t care if his team wins or not, as long as he looks good.

Not to dismiss the play of Eli Manning tonight, but Romo could have won this by completing a pass.

And the defense could've stopped the Giants if they hadn't committed numerous stupid penalties. Cowboys are 5th worst in the league in this.

One man does not make a team ... that goes for Tebow and Romo. Tebow didn't beat the Bears by himself and Romo didn't lose to the Giants by himself.

I like Tebow. He’s made fools out of many journalists....redundant alert.

If he can continue to improve on pocket presence and passing, he’ll be a good QB.
