Some of it must also be in the fathead part!
I almost died laughing reading your post!
Romo can put up video game numbers but when the chips are down, he fails. I’d take Eli as my QB every day. As for Tebow...it’s working for now and his ability to come back in the 4th quarter is amazing. I’m not a believer in gimmicky offenses having staying power in the NFL though.
I was hoping that with the collapse of the Eagles and the Giants (until tonight), the Cowboys could have at least claimed the NFC East. Sigh. At least, I can relive this over and over again:
Gator - How are the Stars going to do?
Garrett is just afraid to play for the win. Everytime we have a lead and the ball with 3 or 4 minutes left, you know it will be at least two straight runs up the middle, probably a draw. Why dont we seal the game with Witten, or a waggle for Romo?
And the Houston Texans won in the final seconds of the game clinching their first playoff ever for this franchise!!!!!!
Yes, the Texans win was great. Congrats to them for getting into the playoffs for the first time.
I can give nelson Cruz a pass on that one - he had already pulled a groin by that point in the game and was probably moving too slow. Why was he having to run down a ball, anyway? The bullpen blew two final strike saves that game.
And he wasn't agile enough to adapt at the end when it counts. With Murray out, the gameplan should have changed once up by 12 points with five minutes to go. Felix Jones just isn't explosive enough.
One thing I'll say, especially in light of the subject of this thread, thank goodness we shed Marion Barber! As much as Tebow played a role in the 13-10 win over da Bears, Barber was an MVP standout for the Broncos today.
... your comment is genius.
Got a little too excited there, didn't ya?
If lame were rain, your silly, worthless vanity would be soaking wet.
As a Dallas native who is only capable of rooting for the home team (I am a hopeless homer, my town and my team are linked in my mind), I either root for them, or ignore the sport. I may have just got some extra free time on Sundays. I did not watch football for over 5 years.
Romo was solid all night long. Cowboys ran up the scoreboard on the rushing offense alone. Giants defense wasn’t altogether there most of the night. As I told someone earlier tonight, when you stop and think back over the course of the season, every team in the NFC East have managed to stumble at the same time. Giants iced the Dallas kicker in the end and that made the difference.
Or maybe I was hoping that Tony Romo would be part of a trade that would bring us Tebow. :-)
I think that it is great what the Denver Broncos and Tim Tebow are doing.
They have 90% of the country praying! Two thirds of those are praying for Denver and Tim’s success and one third are praying for their failure.
At least he has changed the country.
As I mull it over and listen to the postgame, this was a breakdown with the defense. The doppleganger for the Cowardly Lion (Rob Ryan, so proclaimed by Mike & Mike) didn't call the right defense. With a 12-point lead established at the 5:44 mark, a stout defense would have neutralized both Manning and the Giants' rushing.
