Yeah, I just peeked at your window thermometer up there. Looks like you're upper 20-ish, but they keep using the Inner Harbor weather station as their baseline for anyone inside 695, and BWI for everyone else. That always irks me - they know they're going to get false 'heat island' readings from those stations. Frederick and Linganore/Bartonsville are using the municipal airport and they're coming in at 21 degrees, which is probably more accurate. Brrr. Hey - we'll be in Cumberland the evening of the 22nd - how about putting a little Potomac Highland snow on your church prayer list this Sunday? LOL

Weren't those tv shows?...Smilin' Ed, actually Smilin' Ed's Buster Brown Gang. was on TV from 1950 'til 1960. But according to John Dunning's fascinating "Encylcopedia of Old-Time Radio", it began on radio in 1944 and ran until 1953. When the host Ed McConnell died in 1955, Andy Divine took over the TV show and continued it as Andy's Gang to its end.

As far as I can tell the rest were all radio, and all wonderful, especially at this time of year when programs like Let's Pretend would take listeners to "Santa's workshop at the top of the world"....
