I have had two Kahr PM9s in the last few years; I gave one to a friend and bought another. Both were broken in using some rather hot Federal 9mm 124gr hardball that was intended for subguns. 200+ rounds with zero stoppages.
Since then, I've run a wide variety of HP ammo through mine, again, with zero failures. Doesn't get better than that. These things are built like trucks.
Of course, shooting full power defense 9mm means you better have a death-grip on the thing for every shot, but I've learned to do that anyway. The muzzle blast can also make things uncomfortable, for both you and folks on either side of you.
Not a fun gun to shoot, really, but none of that will matter under stress. And here in the land of sun, heat and humidity, you can have one of these hidden under a tank-top and no one's the wiser.
I later obtained a PM40. Same story. And that's the one I now carry.
Yeah, +p’s in a little gun stings like hell.
Have you tried the Ruger LC9?
I am leaning that way. For now its a S&W 442, but I do not like the trigger
In the land of heat and sun I dont worry about penetrating heavy clothes.
I am thinking in cold weather that I may replace the 1911 commander with a CZ Rami in S&W40
Does anyone have experience with the 40 cal Rami? Does it recoil like a SOB?
Haven't seen a good gun-porn thread in ages.
We've been slipping.....
