She’s just gonna love the 200 round “break in” most recommend for the Kahr. I had a CW9 briefly. The slide release was hell on the thumb.
My daughter owns a Kahr 9mm.

My wife loves her Kahr PM9.
Some 1911s need 500 rounds. A Colt Series 70 .45 I had needed every bit of that and a trigger job before it got good and right and reliable.
My Kimber 45 with a 3-inch barrel can put five of five rounds in a man-sized silhouette target at 100 yards which some five-inchers can't match.

Please help new shooters get a proper stance. Smaller people will lean back more when they hold a heavy object out. It physics. Teach them to place a foot forward or hold the gun closer.
The number of rounds wasn’t my point....it was her technique and comfort level, or lack thereof.
Yes, the gun was very compact and nice for conceal carry (I used a hip pad holster) but in all honesty, I hated the gun. Worst handgun I have ever fired. The slide would stick with the first 3-4 rounds coming out of the magazine clip, and I would have to pop the end of slide with the butt of my hand (wrist) to get the shell into the chamber. I went back to my gun dealer, we called Kahr hq in Massachusetts and they said, "Oh yah, that problem does exist and you have to fire a MINIMUM of 200 rounds to get it to where the slide will not stick with the first 3-4 rounds of every clip." My gun dealer said I should count on having to fire 4-500 rounds to correct the problem. I like my gun dealer, but I told him that he should inform any future customers of this bizarre feature on the Kahr PM9. If I buy a brand new gun for $650, I want it to feel good & work properly the first time, not after having to fire it 200 or 4-500 rounds.
Plus the magazine would pinch the skin betwee my little finger & 4th finger every time I fired the gun. Like I said, worst handgun I have ever fired. I was glad I was able to find a buyer to purchase it. I won't buy another Kahr handgun of any caliber or barrel size.
My Mosin
I consider my P45 to be a great conceal weapon. .45 ACP, small and light, no hammer, no safety, long trigger pull, accurate at 7 meters. That said, it is the least pleasureable range pistol I have ever shot. Put 50 rounds through it and the grip pattern stays in your hand for the rest of the day.
As a general rule of marksmanship, closing one’s eyes when firing the weapon will most often result in missing the intended target!
I now use a Kel-Tec .380 most often as my concealed carry. My son who is now armed security and formerly Marine Presidential Security taught me point of aim shooting and it does work. At 15 feet I can put 20 rounds in the rings and ¾ in the black. If I aim I have the same result at 21 feet. For me the key was applying 80% of the pressure with the off hand and 20% with the trigger hand. Since you remove the pistol from the belt or a pocket with the trigger hand it takes some practice to instinctively change the pressure.
Definitely agree with comments about posture. I always start with my 22LR before I dry fire and fire other pistols. He made the point to me to get your posture correct. Acquire and stay on target using your large muscles. He was taught the isosceles stance.
By the way ChildOfThe60’s, I am so there. We have a reunion each year of the guys I went through Navy Officer Candidate School with in 1969. There are always related several versions of what happened our first night.
I see you too have a rubber butt pad ... sign of someone who actually shoots a Mosina. I don’t know about keeping the pike on it though ...
