Forget the fact that these teams are in the northwest and south, why would they want to join a cratering conference? Why not start your own.

OK. Nice, now where is the “SATIRE” disclosure? I mean Boise State, San Diego State, SMU, UCF and Houston fit so well geographically with Big East.

A name change would seem to be in order. How about the All-America Conference?

I’m just thankful they didn’t come to the Big 12 (or 10 or 9 or whatever we are this week). I could not stomach having to watch games on that blue field every other year.

Navy went the conference route before as I recall and it didn’t do them well - I’d prefer they stay independent.

At least they could rename the conference. Even Big Sky would be more appropriate.

A conference with 12 schools calls itself the Big 10 and a conference with 10 schools calls itself the Big 12 so it makes sense that a conference called the Big East would have teams in San Diego and Boise. This is what the higher education system that charges you into debt produces, folks.

Safer to go to community college.

How about we let them keep West Virginia and we add SMU and Houston to the Big 12?

It’s all relative. San Diego is the furthest east of the major cities in California.
