That's what I don't understand. Soooooo many "conservatives" discounted Santorum from the outset because of his 2004 endorsement of Specter...at the behest of his party and president. Yet, when it comes to Gingrich's 2009 endorsement of Scozzafava, we are told that it was just a mistake, that we need to look at the totality of Newt's record, etc., etc.

With Cain and Palin out,Rick Santorum and Michelle Bachman are the only two solid conservatives left—Mark Levin said as much and the four above were always my top four picks.
Rick and Michelle lack the panache of Newt and the polish of Mitt but the two also lack the long records of hypocrisy,flip-flopping and cronyism.
They also aren't nuts like Ron Paul and don't gaffe as much as the Texas doofus.
But now that the RINO establishment elite and the Left have removed Cain,they are commanding it be either Newt or Mitt while some of us would rather it be Rick or Michelle.
I will do my best here in SC to make it so but it's a long shot.
