UPPER SAINT CLAIR, Pa. -- Money blew out of an armored vehicle transporting cash in Upper Saint Clair on Wednesday.
Investigators said the money was being shipped to the West View Savings Bank when a door on the truck somehow opened.
Drivers of a Fidelity Courier Services van said they were alerted by a passing motorist that bags of money were falling from the rear door of the vehicle as it travelled southbound on Route 19.
Investigators said some of the cash was recovered by couriers who returned to the scene, but plastic bags containing "well into six figures" worth of cash is missing. Police said if those who found the cash fail to come forward in a reasonable amount of time, they could be charged with theft.

That’s exactly what I said to the wife last night. Sounds like a good way for a guard to pocket a bunch of cash.
I can’t say I’d blame people if the money wasn’t returned..especially in these times.
Heck, how much of our tax money has our government ‘thrown out the door’...at the banks, at GM, at Solyndra, at Europe???
Sorry, but I’d have to look the other way on people who found the money. Let’s just hope they can keep their mouths shut...
Unlike the Philly longshoreman a few decades ago...can’t remember his name..but he was a bit of a folk hero at the time...found money like this but started showboating, was passing it around, etc....oh well..
Merry Christmas!! Ho! Ho! Ho!!
Unexpectedly the heavy steel door blew open and a great big wind just blew those big heavy sacks of money out of the vehicle. No one in the vehicle noticed the door was open or that there was a howling wind capable of siphoning out bags of cash. Riiiigth.
Serious?
A couple of crumpled fives and some soggy singles? The cops would give me a breath-alyzer right there in the station for walking in with that....
Appears the thief knew which bag/bags to grab so they had to be the first bag out. I'd say the loose bills were a "diversion".
Perhaps the "loaded" bag with the big bucks was thrown right out of the cab of the truck.
After much pondering....I think BOTH driver/guards are involved.
Right!!

One of the biggest heists happen in Pittbsurgh back in the 80s.
A group of robbers broke into the armored car company in broad daylight, tied up the gaurds and made off with millions.
No one was ever caught......
