Sad. RIP.
That’s a tie...
According to the Associated Press, as relayed by http://www.mlbtraderumors.com, his brother is being held as s suspect.
Sympathies to his family.
Rotterdam was also the hometown of former Yankees and Angels IF Robert Eenhoorn.
So sad and senseless. Condolences to his family, friends and teammates.
To say that Seattle has 560,000 is actually incorrect. Yes, within the so called city limits. BUT, the houses and people do not stop there. It is solid people from Seattle north through Everett; solid people south through Tacoma and solid people east to the mountains. There are nearly 2 million people in the greater Seattle area. The city limit lines do not stop the crooks.
Here is what people need to understand. There are stringent gun laws over there. You’re not allowed to have a gun. So instead, lots of people carry knives.
I was explaining to a Dutch lady on the plane over there about our Second Amendment which she vehemently disagreed with, and then I pointed out that over there people carried weapons too, namely knives.
The look on her face was priceless. She had never thought of that. It shut her up.
Hey man, you’re speaking Dutch. :-)
I am more of a casual fan of the M’s. Had not heard of the man but may he rest in peace.
The same is also true for the Rotterdam area. The population does not stop at the border here either. I live in the suburbs of Rotterdam and my town has 65,000+ living in it. The population including suburbs is 1.2 million & in the randstad (area which Rotterdam is a part of) there are over 7 million people.
Overall, the Netherlands had a murder rate of just over 1/100,000 in 2010 vs 4.8/100,000 in the US.¹,³

YES...what you say about “solid people” from Everett to Tacoma...in a wide swath....and I AM SO HAPPY to be GONE FROM THERE!....even if I am living in loony Oregon. It doesn’t take as long here to GET away from the masses.
Kris Kringle? Ik heb geroepen veel erger. :-).
yes it does.
I spend 10 years telling my brothers and sisters to come join me as I bough a couple million dollars of real estate.
All I heard over and over is how stupid I was and how I couldnt possibly do that.
Then once I had it they all started complaining that I was not GIVING them some money.
My twin brother retired at the age of 41, having hit it big. I have never been tempted to ask him for money, and I have not been in a position where I would need to. I can’t imagine it is good for a relationship.
Isn’t that veird?
My L-rd. He was only 24. How sad. My heart goes out to his family.
