First Lady Michelle Obama was booed in Florida today as she made the traditional "Gentlemen, start your engines!" call at the final NASCAR race of the season.

check your sound ;o)
and compare them to the cheers just previous for the HERO.
at least 3 times that i saw - after 3-4 posts and I saw nothing racist
What in the name of all that is holy does this nasty tirade have to do with my simple response to a simple question?
Here's a comment posted from the Orlando Sentinel article...
i was at the race and i can tell you that i was amazed at the diverse group fans that attended.Im one of the non-typical NASCAR fans myself being a minority. By the way, the booing was much worse than the clip plays; it was pretty bad. :-) Saludos de Miami.
Just copying and pasting...
Pretty trashy to boo a first lady. Just confirms the low opinion some people have about NASCAR fans. I’m sure many of the fans kept their dignity and held their peace. You don’t have to agree with a person’s politics to act like an adult.
It’s interesting that James Brown was an admirer of country music and called it “White man’s blues”. There’s many similarities between the two styles.
Is there a limit to how respectful one has to be to people determined to ruin your country and take your freedoms?
Ever hear of "...enemies domestic"?
NASCAR people are down to earth folk. They don't put on airs. They don't suffer fools gladly.
Nor did I
Waiting for an answer as to why you went off on me for absolutely NO reason about something not even in discussion.
I am a NASCAR fan and know plenty of them. They are largely pro-God, pro-gun, pro-family, pro-military, pro-life and against the homosexual agenda. In my opinion, the sport itself and its fans represent what's truly good about America. The fact that NASCAR races begin with a prayer shows unabashed Christian values.
I'll also add that NASCAR's roots and much of its fan base is concentrated in the states shown below:
...Thankyou Jesus! Thankyou Lord! Thankyou JR.
The thread was pulled for a few minutes with the cryptic reason of "Slow Learners" cited. Thank you so much Jim for bringing it back to life.
You say “and his kigs rejected years ago!” (re Newt)
I’m going to take a wild guess and assume you meant “kids”?
Now I’m going to take a wild stab that maybe, if you are apprised of the fact that you are claiming things that untrue, once you see proof that you are wrong, you won’t continue to spew it.
But I doubt it. I post this link mainly for those who read your diatribes and don’t have the facts.

But perfectly fine to call Americans that love their country and their freedoms - let people who are deliberately and with malice aforethought and deliberate intent, take their country and freedoms from them - perfectly fine for You to call THEM 'trashy"?
When the enemy continues to encroach on your life, on your freedom ("enemies domestic") there comes a tipping point where people say: "We are not afraid of you. We will not go silent to the cattle cars. We know who you are and what you are up to."
I’m still trying to figure out where that left field post came from -— however, I just looked and the poster hasn’t posted since that diatribe.
as an ole great granny, I've been around long enough to finally realize that there are more than sufficient number of folk whose wiring is wound way too tight.
And we've got 'em coming out of the woods in FR lately.
We need our Viking Kitties back
I didn’t call them trashy. Just said it was a trashy thing to do. I didn’t like it when the other side disrepected and acted in a trashy manner to President Bush either.
...Agreed. I try to to stay off threads like these because there’s always some flamers to put up with. Trying to reason with them is a waste of time.
