My ex broke my heart - but I've had 101 kinds of fun with her wedding dress
Daily Mirror [UK] ^ | 17/11/2011 | Henry Austin

When Kevin Cotter’s wife of 12 years left him, she told him he could do whatever he liked with her wedding dress.

So with the help of his family, the dad of two came up with a series of zany uses for it, including a hammock, a boat sail and a superhero cape.

But when the couple divided their things, she didn’t take her wedding dress telling him ‘Do whatever you want with it’. Instead the boxed-up garment languished in Kevin’s walk-in closet, adding to his pain every day.

So one night, a few months after his divorce, he asked his family what he should do with it.

“The first few suggestions were unrepeatable,” he recalls. “But we were all laughing hard and we began a list[.]

-snip-

[His ex-wife] says: “I wish all the best for Kevin and hope he seeks counselling to deal with his anger and resentment.”
