What’s the big deal? She didn’t say he raped her. And I doubt he was there to make her happy. He wasn’t planning on taking her as wife #2. This was a one time deal.
I'm sure Reagan would not comment at all about his relationship with Piper Laurie. He also wouldn't try to ridicule her with details of their acts or conversations.
There is no way of knowing if any of this actually happened. Reagan is not around to give his version.
My guess is that it is just another attempt to diminish Reagan and to sell copies of a biography that would otherwise be uninteresting.

A long time ago a beautiful girl really did try to seduce me. Well I can’t say that for sure but I thought she was.
