Mario Batali faces a boycott from his restaurants' well-heeled clientele after comments he made about the banking industry Tuesday during a panel discussion.

"The ways the bankers have kind of toppled the way money is distributed and taken most of it into their hands is as good as Stalin or Hitler and the evil guys," Batali, 51, said while sitting on a panel concerning Time Magazine's Person of the Year.

Forbes.com reposted the remarks, and angry patrons began posting negative reviews of the celebrity chef's restaurants, including Babbo and Del Posto, on the Bloomberg restaurant site, a go-to source for Wall Street diners.

"If you like betrayal, you should go," The Los Angeles Times reported one reviewer posted.

That doesn’t surprise me since he’s a huge pompous ass.

At least Bourdain has the good sense to be gracious to conservatives that butter his bread.

Mario Batali. The personality even a grandmother would like to punch.

Bourdain often quips he is a cook not a ‘celebrity chef’.

I heard he made his employees wear Kerry buttons in ‘04. GOP convention goers were not even seated at the restaurant?? What a scumbag. If some conservative outlet had acted in such a hateful childish manner it probably would have been big news.

If Ronald has a lot of power, then I’m going to be wary of anything he says.

For example, all that change they collect from customer donations for Ronald MacDonald House. Do they deduct other people’s money from their taxes?

I don’t know...but I’ve always wondered.

Ms Behavin and I always gripe about the way the guy carps about his job.

But I kinda like the guy.
I would love to have his job.
He does seem to appreciate simple as well as complex fare.

Some of these other clowns have mega egos.

I do not think that McDonald’s corporation would deduct the money received from donations from their own taxes.

Why would they do something so stupid?

Because it goes into one big budget.

And while it might be stupid, so far as I know, it’s never been checked.

Who said, “Trust, but verify.”?

Since Mario hates the 1%’ers so much he can easily be sent down to the 99% percentile. Enjoy the demotion fat bigmouth.

Wallstreeters should hire a bunch of kids to pass out Godfather Pizza coupons in front of Mario’s restaurants...
Who wants to shell out $145.00 for a meal anyway...

He probably has to wear those plastic little girl shoes. They are the only ones that let the bacon grease seep out of his feet.

I like Bordain alright.
Mario, I never cared for.
He’s a jerk, and he always looks like a slob.
Ugh.
Bourdain can be a jerk to, but he’s an honest jerk.

I haven’t watched in ages but when kiddo was small I loved PBS Saturdays...Jacques Pépin, Justin Wilson, John Folse. (Justin Wilson was such fun!!)

Kiddo is now grown and he likes Emeril Lagasse, I tried to watch him but I’m not too fond. I do sometimes watch the Iron Chef.
