All Aboard the Sexual Harassement train to easy money!...
11/09/11

Posted on 11/09/2011 9:05:38 AM PST by AngelesCrestHighway

Trolling for dollars...No end to what people will do for easy money...No body or company wants a sexual harrassement case lodged against them especially in this P.C. environment! How many bimbo's does it take to file sexual harrasement cases against anyone and have them stick? Apparently just the allegations are enough to send the loonie left on the war path of personal destruction! What a discrace the whack left and media are! Herman Cain has said No and Hell No to this planned attack. Good for him!

Not just dollars -

it’s an easy weapon to use against any man that you don’t like for any reason at all,

and back in the 90’s, an accusation was proof of guilt.

Ann coulter said it best - gettin accused of Sexual Harassment in the 90’s was like getting accused of being a witch in the 1890’s

I was accused of this once- Because I told a secretary her new haircut was ‘pretty’

Bialek’s story fell apart by the second day after her false press conference slander statement. One might be asking themselves why Ms. Bialek was fired from the National Restaurant Association: http://patdollard.com/2011/11/bialek-deconstructed-accustations-quickly-erode-under-scrutiny/ After all, being fired, quite unlike simply being laid off, is a serious issue with serious ramifications; since leaving the Restuarant Association, Ms. Bialek has been unable to maintain regular employment. So why was this woman let go? Why has it seemingly affected her ability to remain employed for so long?

Perhaps it might have something to do with the reason she was fired from the National Restaurant Association in the first place…

FILING FALSE CLAIMS OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT: http://macsmind.com/wordpress/2011/11/07/sharon-bailek-remembered-by-a-co-worker-as-a-time-waster-and-rabble-rouser-if-she-didnt-get-her-way-she-cried-sexual-harassment/

“She was fired from her job, and her boyfriend suggested she contact Cain in hopes he could help her find employment.”. In this particular incident she was fired for falsely accusing her boss of sexual harassment, a charge denied by co-workers, as well as being pretty much a pain in the ass to work with. “I remember her as a time-waster, and rabble-rouser. If she didn’t get her way she cried about sexual harassment”. A former co-worker, a female no less, emailed me. “She was trouble with a capital “T”. The fact that she waited 13 years and never said a word not even during Cain’s earlier forays into politics. She only now magically appears because Cain is leading in some polls and proving a threat to Barack Obama?

Forget the specifics of the Cain situation.

It’s absurd to argue that there was easy money in claiming sexual harrassment.

If there was, everybody would do it and get year-salary payments.

It was a good way to express the situation, but it is hyperbole. Not many women charged sexual harrassment, and many didn’t get any payments at all.

Some organizations might have found it easier just to pay off women instead of investigating, but that was not the norm, and it isn’t the norm.

And most women are not looking for a chance to lie about sexual harrassment to get a payoff. I’ve seen people claiming most women use sex charges to get ahead, or to get money, or to get what they want. I saw one poster who said we shouldn’t have given women the right to vote because they all use lying as a standard practice.

I know people are upset with 4 specific women here; but I don’t see how the conservative movement is advanced if we start blaming women in general, or act like every report of harassment, or even most, are just typical women trying to make an easy buck and getting away with it.

We risk much more than Herman Cain if we convince people that the tea party movement is misogynist or dismissive of women’s concerns. There should be a way to attack 4 specific people for their specific claims without smearing everybody of the same sex.

As I said, this rant has nothing to do with the specific charges against Cain, just something that has bothered me in the way some people here have been responding to those charges.

For example, most serious harrassment claims are filed with the EEOC, because that is a precursor for filing charges (to get money) under both federal and most state laws.

Here is a table of the number of harrassment claims filed with the EEOC by year. You will see at the link that the number of claims filed dropped from 16,000 in 1997 to 12,000 in 2010. The number of claims settled and "withdrawn with benefits" have stayed relatively constant. The number of charges dismissed has stayed between 40% and 50% -- showing that it wasn't and has never been an "automatic payout".

Total payouts for ALL claims has stayed at around $50 million a year; which means the average payout per claim in 1997 was $3115. So you can see a payout of $35,000, or $45,000, was NOT the "norm", much less being "very small". For a case without merit, those are large amounts of money to pay out, according to the actual statistics.

There are many good arguments to be made, I think we should pay attention to facts and not let our anger at the situation bring us to conclusions that are not supported by those facts, and are based on rough anecdotal claims.

BREAKING!!! FIRST ACCUSER, from Natl. Rest. Assoc., Karen Kraushaar, while working at next job, at I.N.S., now called I.C.E., also accused her manager of sexual harassment, stemming from a sexually charged e-mail, and complained of unfair treatment because she wouldn’t be allowed to work from home after a car accident. This second charge was also handled internally, she wanted thousands of dollars, reinstatement of leave she used after the accident, promotion on the federal pay scale, and one year fellowship to Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. It was handle internally, and she got none of those demands. She’s a LIAR!!! Two jobs in a row, TWO SEX HARASSMENT CHARGES!

ALl these woman accusing Herman Cain have a history of filing bogus sex harassment claims as a way of getting things they wanted.

Back in the old days when I worked outside the home I worked a lot of jobs that were considered more men's line of work. I gave it my all, pulled my weight and never had a problem. I saw again and again gals come in and the minute they were reprimanded for crappy work the “uncomfortable working environment” card was thrown. The companies were so scared of the hint of accusations that they bent over backwards to make things more “comfortable” for these woman. I hated it.

I would suggest if you have a love of the facts, you not attempt to manipulate them.

“Total payouts for ALL claims has stayed at around $50 million a year; which means the average payout per claim in 1997 was $3115. Average payouts can be skewed by people who get next to nothing.

1. Cain’s Gold Diggers didn’t file EEOC claims, they filed claims against private entitites. Corporate philosophy is to avoid costly trials and make payouts. They also often result in “severance” terms. In other words...we will pay you to leave...bye bye.

2. Claimants who get attorneys often get paid much higher payouts...with the credible threat of a costly trial.

Nice try to make these bimbos’ claims seem to have justification. NO DICE.

Nice post. Many years ago I gave up a cushy Fed Job due to the political environment of office politics. Minorities, women and gays (who were the big enchilada in my office)...used the system to get perks such as special education assignments, special programs to prepare for managerial promotion, and undue promotion with inferior work product.

I trained a couple of “specials” so they could leapfrog over me for managerial promotions. Best career move I ever made...leaving that cesspool of political correctness.
