Sorry good buddy. This is a forum for discussion where different viewpoints are discussed. From your insulting posts it's obvious that you can't handle anyone disagreeing with your opinion, but too bad. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.
Throughout human history, children have always labored. In fact, that used to be one of the primary reasons for having children, to work the land when Mom and Dad got too old.
You make my point for me. Hate to tell you this, but the 18th century is gone. The 19th century is gone and so is the 20th. It is a truly selfish person this day and age who spawns out endless children primarily for their labor.

went to school with a kid who was one of fifteen children (yes, it was a Catholic school, LOL). A friend of my husband’s has ten children, all homeschooled. An acquaintance of mine from our local right-to-life group has 5 children, ages 7 and under, and she is one of the most selfless people I’ve come across in a long time (another homeschooler).
Growing up we were one of the smallest family on my street (4 kids) -- there were 3 families with 12+ kids on my strret. (that was late 1960s)

How is my husband treasuring me liberal?
He would never do anything to harm me. He was a gem when I had to go on 10 weeks of bed rest with our twins. He made sure our 2 year old son was taken care of, made sure I had plenty of food, kept the house clean and hld down a full-time job.
If we both decided to have more kids, I’m sure he would opt for adopting over me having life-threatening health problems.
Michelle Duggars had serious problems last time, and she is 45.
Hint:Jim Bob, stay away from clams on the half shell. It puts lead in your pencil.
If you saw my post, I did not put a limit on how many children someone should have. I said I don’t think insurance companies should pay for that many, especially at that age and after a high risk pregnancy. Big difference.
I will repeat that my grandfather was 1 of 13, but they did not have insurance. They had babies at home because they couldn’t afford to have a baby in the hospital.
Are you implying that people have the option to get cancer or have heart attacks? Or that no one has any control over getting pregnant? Because otherwise, your response makes no sense.
I personally don't have a problem with someone having as many children as they can support. If the Duggars wish to have 20 more children, that's fine. But considering the complications of the last pregnancy, I also wouldn't be outraged if the insurance company raised their rates with each pregnancy to offset the ever increasing risk of expensive complications.
My wife has a health condition and her first full-term pregnancy was rough, but she got through without any catastrophes. She almost died while giving birth to our second child and the doctor said any subsequent pregnancies would endanger her health. I said no more and had a vasectomy. So, because I didn’t want to lose my wife and the mother of my children that makes me a liberal?

My grandmother had 16-—so... so what. As long as I’m not paying for them, I couldn’t care less.
On the other hand, I know three women who were the oldest child, or one of the older children, in large (10+ children) families who have elected not to have children. They're well-adjusted individuals, generally, and two are deeply religious. The problem is that they spent their childhoods raising their younger siblings. Instead of looking forward to the joy of motherhood, they feel as if they've experienced some of it, and that they missed part of childhood.
I understand the concept of chores. I understand the concept of helping your parent with your younger siblings. In the case of the Duggars (and I'll admit that it's one of my daughters, and not me, who watches the show), I sometimes feel as if parenthood is a multi-level marketing plan. Children of a certain age have designated 'buddies' who are older children, who are responsible for them, and those older children have designated 'buddies', who are still older children, who are responsible for them.
While this has the possibility of teaching strong sibling love . . . it means that some child-parent connection is missing.
If my sibling buddy is responsible for helping me dress, as a toddler, where's that magic 'getting dressed' time with mommy or daddy? Love multiplies. One-on-one attention doesn't. Even if you designate a period each day to have one-on-one time with a child . . . it's not the same. At some point, you're being raised in a group home. A group home with values and a lot of love. But a group home. And your guidance is coming from other children, not your parents.
I welcome comments from others that may help me see things differently.
I am worried about Mrs. Duggar's health after her last pregnancy, but I support their right to have a twentieth child.
