I gave up television about nine months ago and havent looked back, not even for my sports teams that I followed, it is all liberal promotion of a dysfunctional life and it is corrupt. I now enjoy reading, music, walks and nature, friends, writing, crafts and other hobbies, meditation, prayer and anything wholesome I can find to do.
Basically I had the same type of reaction that you are having here to things I was seeing on television and I had just had it with the entire mentality of it all.
Yes!!!
They’re not a lesbo couple, are they?
I’m starting to settle on what I think will be my working assortment of news and entertainment, when I finally work up the courage to cancel cable.
Right now for instance, I’m using the object formerly known as my television to read FR.
While I’m doing that, I’m listening to a radio station 2000 miles away via “I heart radio” - a station I finally found which I like, and has no pc nonsense. Good news coverage, and informative topics each morning.
I can watch videos linked to right here on FR. Youtubes of most things I find entertaining, and Drudge.
Fox has videos - not realtime but when has Fox’s news coverage ever been realtime?
(yes that’s a slam, and is true every weekend)
Since I’m still hooked up to cable, all I need to do is push a button and my screen starts showing television broadcasting rather than FR. But the thing is, increasingly I find I’m just not bothering to stay there.
Nothing worth watching...
Thanks!!! I now feel the need to contac them immediately (which I normally DO NOT do) and tell them how offensive it was.
Not that it will do any good, but at least I can release my anger, shame and embarrassment towards them.
Dr. Blado’s advice is to stay away from the hard liquor.
Take two lesbians and a six pack of beer before going to bed each night.

You’re welcome.
We’re done with regular TV. Hubby and I just got fed up with the garbage.
We watch selected decent TV series and movies through Netflix and we get our news and sports online.
I knew someone would be posting that one!!! =)
I usually have it on for background noise, I was up getting some more coffee and passing by, heard the commercial when I realized it was 2 girls talking.
I had to stop and watch (kinda like you do w/ car wrecks). You don’t want to see anything bad, and usually don’t, but this time was different.
I don’t know what product you are talking about. But, a lot of the “men” they use in commercials these days appear very feminine. Maybe you were fooled.
I missed that one (thankfully).
I keep my TV around for sports and CSI. Not much else worth looking at these days.
Yes indeed, when I was a small child I was taught that some things were just not talked about. I still cringe when someone does talk about private things- even on TV. Just no class. None. I seldom watch TV and when I do I see that I haven’t missed much. I mostly watch QVC..ha ha, I do notice when folks are trying to sell you something they know what lines not to cross and are careful what they talk about.
Apparently, upthread, someone else saw the commercial as well. I will not be surprised if it does not start going to ALL stations.
I have to wonder if that is a woman thing (television as background noise) being that my mom and my ex-girlfriend both would do the same thing (leave television on as background noise), myself I like music as background (more peaceful and uplifting), plus there are less chances of being drawn into some type of shocking dysfunctional theater written by corrupt leftists.
Maybe try changing your means of having background noise on? Pick out some great uplifting videos that you like if music is not your thing. Just a suggestion.
All the Best!
Get a library card.
You can get borrow DVDs instead of risking the trash on TV.
And books are even better.
Have to wonder about someone marketing to a group that makes up less than 3% (probably less than 1%) of the population. Must be the show; you weren’t watching “Glee” were you?
if you must see tv shows, then pick and choose the shows you want and download them
tv shows: eztv.it
utorrent client: utorrent
player for your tv: wd tv or popcorn-hour
Thankfully I haven’t seen that commercial, but I did unfortunately see the GLEE tv show commercial for an upcoming episode last night where 2 queer high school boys talked about “getting adventuresome”. Perversion has infiltrated into most everything in the entertainment world.
