What we need is an EASY Button. Every day, especialy early morning, we are invaded by trolls, especialy on the local boards who's only purpose is to sign up and disrupt. Even though we FReepmail the mods about them sometimes it takes hours to get them removed. Teddy WAlmat and the many variations of thet name and many other. It would be nice to have an alarm button where we could just flush these guys down the old tube in short order.
I know I am going to regret this - what is a ‘local board?’ and where can I find one?
And the problem is that trolls often post racist or inflamatory crap - we don’t need that stuff floating around. I would personally like a billy club button so we could just beat the snot out of the poster and let the Mods rest

Because I want to be SURE that there are no misconceptions about him. He basically said this week that he wants a SECURE BORDER, and that EVERYONE who has made it here illegally is welcome to stay and work legally.
There are a lot of Texans on this site and I want to be sure that they know EXACTLY who their governor is and what his vision is for America. I never want to see him in a position of power, either in DC, or in Texas again.
So I’ll let it go when he enters private life.

Now now now! This vanity has brought to issue some problems here on FR. I for one had no idea there were “Perrybots” on the site. Then again what forum does not have its mindless “bots”?
I think all these candidates have flaws. It involves selecting the lesser of evils. I rank them Cain, Perry, Newt. Good luck with your bizarre anti-Perry crusade. Most people did their homework long ago on all these candidates and don’t need your help.

I still have to deal with Perry within Texas, so as long as he’s here he’s FAIR GAME.
Most Texans HAD NO CLUE about the Texas Dream Act, barely heard about Gardasil, and had no idea that Perry was yucking it up with Mexico and LaRaza, so I will continue my crusade until I get no push-back from other FReepers (or until Perry finally leaves office, whichever comes first), then I will know it’s over.
Who cares about Gardasil? It’s like 1,000 on my list of things I am concerned about in a President. Doesn’t matter as Perry is toast anyway. I support Cain in spite of the fact he supported Romney and refuses to call Romney to task on anything. All these candidates have something that someone can bitch about

It’s not at the top of my list either, but it shows a VERY STRANGE streak for someone we keep being told is a conservative - when even liberals back then would not get near imposing something like that on their states.

Go to your home account. Set yourself up with your home state or some other if you prefer. That becomes your local board. It’s a state board for those people to post things on.

This guy or whatever is showing up on several state boards at the same time, constantly changing his state of choice. (including Fl) Could be how he’s avading getting zotted for so long.
He comes on, calls names and insult everyone on the board with vulgarities and BS rhetoric then finally gets banned. [pretty much every day]

I wouldn't do that or anything like it to a liberal website no matter how much I hated it. Such actions say a great deal about the people doing them.
They were around the late 1970s to the mid 1990s, most BBSes were run as a hobby free of charge by the system operator (or “SysOp”). Only one person could log in mine at a time because I only had one phone line. It wasn’t a big problem since most people didn’t have a computer. I ran mine of a Vic 20.
