No kidding. What a gut-blow. I don't see how she could do this, or be happy doing it. It's like kicking dirt in God's Face. He handed her this on a gilt platter.
Of all people, she knows this without doubt. I can only imagine the weight that's on her shoulders (and her conscience) right now, because of her decision. She has walked away from certain victory, and a well-deserved place among giants. It's one of the most astonishing reversals in our nation's history, if you ask me.
I'd like to think that she's executing some incredibly unorthodox master plan, but what I'm observing argues against it. It appears that she's really opted out of seeking the ultimate leadership role in this country, and that saddens me more than I can articulate.
Despite her having stepped aside, I don't believe that she ever lied to us, and that she fully intended to make a run for the presidency. It's my working theory that she encountered some counter-intention that was too powerful for her to overcome, just days or weeks before she was going to announce. I'll say no more on that, but I don't believe for a second that her family talked her out of running.
I thought for sure you would have a better grasp on the things of God. Since when do they make sense to a human mind/human thinking?
