Razor cleaning technique

I hope the mod allows this to stay. This is a thank you to the poster who came up with the idea of using a hair dryer to dry these expensive razors to make them last longer. Great idea Thanks man!

It’s a better idea to find the original thread, and thank the poster there. You have no way of knowing if this will be seen.

Be sure to thank the poster who came up with the original idea, then. I have to go to work.

I have a little cordless leaf blower....every Saturday I use it (among other weekend chores) to blow out my 'lectric shaver -- works like a charm.
It also gets used to blow the crap out of my hairbrush, room air filter, whole house A/C filter, and handvac.

I actually saw that thread. I’ve been using the hair dryer, seems to be working, but I just started using one the multi-blade razors. So I wasn’t really familiar with how long they last without the drying step. I looked online and found several other sites that recommend it, and what the hell it only takes 10 seconds or so.

I tried it and now the razor is dry and dirty, must be doing something wrong.

I've been using those multi-tracks for a long time and like them. I always us a Kleenex to wipe the blades dry carefully, but the hairdryer looks like a better idea. I can make the blades last for weeks at at a time--important because they're expensive.
Hmmmmm--maybe I should consider that leaf blower idea...

No, but you had sure better hustle up some damage control on the double! And don't scrimp on the expense.
