A 10-year-old Aiken trick-or-treater pulled a gun on a woman who said she would take his candy on Halloween.
According to a police incident report, the 28-year-old victim told authorities she recognized some boys from her neighborhood while they were trick or treating near Schroeder and George streets around 6:30 p.m. and jokingly told them she would take their candy.
One 10-year-old in the group of approximately 10 juveniles responded with no youre not ... and then pointed a 9mm handgun at her.
According to Aiken Public Safety Lt. David Turno, the clip was not in the gun at the time, but the boy did have the loaded clip in his possession.
The boys brother, also 10, told authorities he also had a gun. The second weapon was recovered this morning.
The boy who pulled the weapon was brought to the police station where he was turned over to the custody of his parents.
Turno said the boys obtained the weapons from their grandfather without permission.

saw that, but I agree with another FReeper. It should read “you DON’T raise them we cage them”
More likely he grows up to be an impulsive heedless young man who never imagines the consequences of his actions, and shoots someone dead over a trivial slight.
He has no sense of reality or responsibility about a death-dealing instrument, and either no ability to read people, or no common sense about the appropriate reaction.
If they published his name, we could make a ten year bet on him.
I’m not saying he should be sent to jail - he should be released to his parents, taken behind the woodshed, made to dig ditches or chop wood, lose his electronics for half a year and apologize to the woman he threatened. If his parents respond properly, he might just grow up decent.
Don't joke about stealing candy on Halloween.
