Grizzly Fest is an online summit for those who believe in the restoration of America through the leadership of Sarah Palin and the principles and values she represents.
The idea for Grizzly Fest sprang from Tammy Bruces suggestion for a Palinista Meet-Up to plot our next steps after Governor Palin announced she would not seek the GOP nomination. The idea gathered steam during a recent Roderic Deane radio show. Weve rounded-up an inspiring group of Grizzlies to discuss the success of the movement so far, the ongoing work of restoration, and what comes next as we rally around shared values and purpose.
We invite Palin supporters everywhere to listen in LIVE to this important discussion on Saturday, Oct. 29th from 2-5 p.m. ET, and to share their own ideas in our dedicated forums. A podcast of the three-hour event will also be available for later listening if you miss any part of the broadcast.
So, come to GrizzlyFest.com at the designated time, and listen in. You will also get to see special video presentations and submit questions to the panelists.
Yeah, there's sort of a worshipful creepiness in the wording.
Plus, as much as I like Sarah Palin, after seeing the behavior of some of her supporters on here over the past few months, things like this just make me want to run the other way.
Still seem to be a lot of people who are afraid of Sarah, including those Freepers who favor other candidates.
I don’t know if she can be persuaded to change her mind, but I don’t really see any alternatives out there with her stature, experience, and reliability.
As a result, I’ve mostly been sitting back and waiting to see what happens next.
I like Cain, but I’m still not sure what he would actually do if he were elected. Perry again? Same problems as before. The return of Newt? He’s a great talker, but he has repeatedly proven that he cannot be trusted any further than you can kick him.
I don’t know if these FReepers are so much afraid of her as they just don’t understand what our goals are going forward. Our goals are to clean up and restore sanity to government, to try to govern as closely to the constitution as possible and to elect like-minded people, to live within our means and to allow the private sector to thrive and lead in solving the problems that government caused. Sarah Palin is the common denominator that pulls us all together. She’s the one who laid out and defined the movement. All we are trying to do is take what she started and build on it.
I think where they (freeper critics of Palin supporters) miss the boat is in their singular focus on the presidential primaries. They are missing the 95% of the rest of the work that needs our attention.
Hey, she can’t do it alone.
SuperCuda
(to the tune of “Superman” by Five For Fighting)
I cant stand the threats
Im not that naive
Im just out to lead
The better part of thee
Im more than a wife...im more than a mom
More than some pretty face with Trig in arm
Its not easy to be me
Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Restore my country’s pride
in all that it could be
It may sound absurd...but dont be naive
Even Cudas have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed...but wont you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
Its not easy to be me
With what my family’s paid... I run away
Its all right...you can all rest sound tonight
Im not crazy...or backin down...
I cant stand to fly
For hours on and on
Moms werent meant to ride
Air Force One below their buns
Im only a gal in a little red coat
Digging for signs of hope on this one way street
Only a soul with her Bible in tow
Looking for special things inside of me
Inside of me
Inside thee
Yeah, inside me
Inside of thee
Im only a mom
In funny bunny boots
Im only a girl
who knows how to shoot
Im only a wife
With an Alaskan life
And its not easy, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm...
Its not easy to be me
OK. nothing to see behind the curtain, so move along, like a long ways along.
Blaahh. blaaah, blaaam, blaaah, I love her, but, blaaah. blaaah, but, but, blaaaZh but, but, blaaah, blaaah.
Got your drift, now move along.
Uh oh, now I have to get out my wood burning setup.
I’ve got to kind of agree. I hope she changes her mind and jumps in the race, as she’s head and shoulders above any other candidate we have.
But trying to freeze her supporters who came together hoping she would run, somehow in the name of Palin, but without Palin, is a little weird. The best way to get a GOP Senate and other down-ticket GOP wins is to have an electrifying, winning presidential nominee. We’re all pushing noodles uphill to try to win those elections with a strong top of the ticket. I’m not sure God was thinking straight the day he told her not to run, and I hope she realizes it’s His prerogative to change His mind.
Most of the Palin supporters here on FR aren't groveling at her feet as you seem to think we are, but I'm sure a few have come across a bit strong in support of her. So what? People have seen something in her that they share, and it's been a heck of a long time since that has happened in this Country.
Now we move on and live with the idea of what might have been. Hopefully one of the GOP Contenders will pick up the Mantle and show us all what is still possible.
You're not jealous that my Wife got me the Sarah Palin Pajamas, are you? LOL
If only Michelangelo were alive today, we could have had him paint her picture on the ceiling of the National Cathedral.
At least you were polite and reasoned in your response. I thank you for that....unlike so many others here.
Yeah, slick, you’re a shining example of open minded discussion and reason. Great to see Sarah being represented by droolers such as yourself. Gee golly, but she’d be so proud.
I fully understand respect for standard bearers; getting behind those who represent our values.
I get it. Ain’t that freakin’ hard to get.
Why is it, then, SO damned hard for so many on this thread to understand that my ONLY problem with this has zip to do with Sarah Palin....and everything to do with quivering-lips-hand-wringing-fawning-drooling over ANY public figure, whether it’s someone I can respect or not.
Turns my stomach, frankly.
>”In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.” Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.<
I do my best to follow that little bit of advice. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I succeed, but I never forget that we are all here to voice our opinions as well as learn from each other. If it gets too confrontational, one or the other of us is in the wrong place.
LOLAY, such a waste, see you failed that course on how to win friend and infuence people, right?
I dislike Lima beans. I do not fear them.
Ascribing fear to those who dislike Palin is stupid.
Especially when the dislike was generated by drooling worshipers.
