Dear RedState.com (cross-posted),

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Larsen. I’m a truth lover, chess player and avid political junkie. I co-founded....

OK, here is the point where the mods step in... Originally this Pro-Romney troll went on for about twenty thousand words about how wonderful Romney is and how everyone else sucks. You get the picture. He wrote it to our friends at RedState but posted it here. I take it, probably because he met the same fate there as he just did here. We the mods will save you from all that boredom and just allow you to point and laugh. Carry on.

No biggie, Darks. It's just the Russian Army. They ran over 'Face barefoot and left their dirty clothes for laundering.

As if! </Valley Girl> I fear there won't be much left of the ones who return for their clean clothes.

I can't watch!

Those poor souls.
There won’t be much left of them to feed to the owrk.

RIP, Tink. Must have been quite a guy to have left such a legacy. Sorry I missed him, truly.

Well. I see my reputation has preceded me. *yuk-yuk*

If anyone sees any bed-raggled Russian Soldiers, tell them I said, “I told you to get lost! (”Lost” being the operative word!)”

I can’t be too far behind them...they are leaving a trail of discarded equipment.

If you catch them, make sure they go back and pick up what they discarded.
That’s even more humilitating.
[Typo alert, an’ I’m leaving it this time!]

Anoreth is my daughter, too. She has a managerial personality - don’t know where she gets it from! - and decided her life required more excitement than babies with the Crud and a thousand loads of laundry a week.

Won’t do any good...the Industrial Strength Snuffupagus has slorked up everything but the weapons, sorting out the copper for *ahem* “something else.”

But those of us who have kept up with the Perils Of Pauline the Antics of Anoreth, have come to love her and expect the Unexpected from her. She is an AWESOME woman!

And I don’t know where she gets *that*! I can take the Unexpected only in very small doses, if there’s plenty of Restorative waiting.

Tom and Frank have gone outside to watch Ash napping on the doormat. Oh, now they’re back. I guess Ash got too hot.

Obviously the mat became boring for the very retired greyhound, so she came inside to see what mischief her apprentices could get into.

I used to love “The Unexpected,” but with the onset of CFIDS, even small changes are difficult to deal with. I handle them much better when they happen to someone else! LOL!

(When I move, I hope a greyhound is in my future. Ash is such a love.)

She’s back to sleeping on the living room floor. I keep suggesting walks, but she just closes her eyes and sighs.

I should try to get Frank to sleep some more.

Indeed. It's a mystery!

“Ash” — perfect name for a greyhound, but not to forget all the literary, Biblical, and cultural references to Ash and Ashur.

And poetical. I have poems for all occasions, or none. When I wrote "Ash Dream", it wasn't about Ash, it was about ash.

"Ash Dream?" How much poetry have you written, Bob? Do you have a book available anywhere?

Or do I have to do an afternoon's search to find the rest of it? [smiles]

NicknamedSue keeps telling me I should put some poetry books out. I have three planned.

Ash Dream

Sometimes, in a fireplace, a limb will be consumed,
So slowly, so gently, that it retains its form,
Just as it was in life; the shape of the veins,
The mark of the bark. It shares those moments warm,

And filled with sunshine, having knitted structure,
Out of the very air. Such magic! -- that it weaves its dreams,
In daylight, making sugar chains too long for eating,
For any but termites, or beavers by their streams.

Those streams of tears that fell upon the hills,
After traveling on the sighs of tropic wistfulness,
To dash out all their hopes in Northern climes,
For trees to sip, and gossip with a stately cheerfulness.

And so this ashen ghost of form, observed by dreamers,
Resembles what we think we may become one day,
When all our cheerful sunniness, our hopes and dreams,
Have spun and scattered forth like Autumn leaves at play.

Perhaps one day I will be sitting in a park,
With wistful smiles recalled upon my face,
Having become an ashen image of my self,
That scatters to the winds without a trace.

NicknamedBob . . . . . . . . November 29, 2008

"Fooled's the dawn and so I am
Fooled by life and a bitter doom
To bring you the end of the day"

Camp Lejume is at the top of my dream sheet. Hopefully I will out-impress the other guy from Charlotte and go there.

If not, there's always Chesapeake, since I'm here already..

In order, so that none of you are confused, the beginning of my dream sheet reads thusly:

Camp Lejume (NC) “Tactical Boat Ops CTR” (and no, I’m not sure what exactly that entails.)
Chesapeake VA “MSRT Armory DIV” (law enforcement armory)
Chesapeake VA “MSRT Tactical Delivery DIV” (law enforcement)
Portsmouth VA “NESU WAT Portsmouth” (law enforcement?)
Cape Canaveral FL “Armory Cape Canaveral” (armory)
Metairie LA “SEC New Orleans ENG/SUP DIV” (repair/issue unit)

The next one is in New York City, and it goes downhill from there. So hopefully nobody else will want to stay in the Chesapeake Bay area..

Goodness gracious, that is just beautiful. I agree with NicknamedSue that you should publish, for you’re very talented.
