Dear RedState.com (cross-posted),

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Larsen. I’m a truth lover, chess player and avid political junkie. I co-founded....

OK, here is the point where the mods step in... Originally this Pro-Romney troll went on for about twenty thousand words about how wonderful Romney is and how everyone else sucks. You get the picture. He wrote it to our friends at RedState but posted it here. I take it, probably because he met the same fate there as he just did here. We the mods will save you from all that boredom and just allow you to point and laugh. Carry on.

The Stig has me trained. When he wants lettuce, he will tap at the clip that normally holds it and sing some little chittery songs.

He’s doing quite well!

He’s doing quite well! Great! Amazing how pets train us. Hope you are doing well too.

DP just got himself a new e-book reader. It’s in a fashion color, which apparently is important to one’s reading experience, and it seems he can also watch music videos on it.

I just read paper books. Currently I have one about the collection and sale of reptiles.

Blargtastic.
I have to head over to West point to get my card unblocked.
I was setting up my card reader, and it hammered my card to death.

Beloved Sister in Christ,

You are not just sitting there doing nothing... your prayers assault Heaven on our behalf, they don’t bounce off the ceiling. You openly tell your story and that is great encouragement to do likewise. Proximity is great for hugs and cocoa, face time is special, but distance does not hamper the Spirit. From your mouth (keyboard) to God’s ear! He is never late in answering. Love and thanks!!!!!

"... as an aside, if I could take your pain, I would do so. It is difficult for me to sit here and know you are suffering without being able to help you."

I think I actually can, maybe just a little bit.

'Cause when I think about the hurtings that you feel, it hurts me too.

We got helium in Tom’s giant inflatable shark this afternoon, but before he got it in the front door, it slipped from the string and floated away. Someone at some distance will get a surprise, when the pressure equalizes.

A replacement apparently exists, but it’s out of stock everywhere, including the manufacturer :-(. At least no pets have died recently ...

I wrote a poem about that.

Does that surprise you?

Inflatable shark, or dying reptiles? Neither would surprise me, poetically. Pathos is where you find it ...

LoM, you are making my mouth water!!!

.... we will have fun and remember the good times with Sionn. :-)

I'd love to be there, but I have to work until 6, so I wouldn't arrive for 12 hours! LOL. We might be able to pull it off if I lived in Vancouver, BC, but it is kind of far from Ottawa. ;-)

You are what family is all about. Thank you for carrying us all these long months. We love you for it!!!!!

LoM, Sionn was my FRiend, and my Friend. ;-)
Back then, you didn't really FReep very often, but he talked bragged about you and the girls all the time.

I am grateful to him for making us family. *HUG*

Who left the blinds open?

Don't worry about the blinds Bob. I left the door open. The cold draft should be there soon.

"before he got it in the front door, it slipped from the string and floated away."

Holding On

The separation of a soul, like a child’s lost balloon,
I’ll fly up after it someday, let’s meet up on the moon.
“Get it, Daddy! Grab it, quick! Before it gets away!”
“I’m sorry, Darling. It’s just gone.” Is all that I can say.

“But you can see it’s rising up! It’s only gone from you.”
“You’ll surely get it back one day, here’s what you’ll have to do.”
“It’s going to be in God’s hands now. He’ll keep it just like new.”
“You just remember it real good. He’ll give it back to you.”

“And in the meantime, do your best, to stay on His Good side.”
“So when you’re ready for your trip, He’ll let you take a ride.”
She smiled and she accepted this, that it would be okay,
And one day she would have again, the thing she lost that day.

I wish I could believe it too, but somehow I have doubt,
I’ve heard the explanations too. There’s something they leave out.
Oh, I believe the one I miss is in her Heavenly bower,
But I’m not sure I’ll get that far, on my appointed hour.

I think you’ll find this entertaining. Crude, but entertaining.

I broke one of those card readers last week.
Fortunately, I managed to explain it so that it became the computer’s fault and not mine.

I remember a prayer thread that was started when I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre’ after back surgery in 2006. Sionn had a difficult time with all of it, especially the hospital visits. He worried a lot about what would happen if I never walked again. Fortunately the prayers of many FReepers pulled me through, and him, too! I am so grateful to Jim Robinson for making Free Republic a place where communities can share life’s ups and downs, cheer one another on, belly ache about what’s not fair, sip cocoa together in our PJs and laugh or cry together. That is what real family does. FReepers are my family and I love you!!!! XOXOXO
