For sure, "The Exorcist" is on the list. Also, "Rosemary's Baby", one of the all time scariest movies ever.
I suppose if I really wanted to get scared, I could cue up a bunch of Progressive Commercials with that Flo dame. She is definitely related to the folks in "Night of the Living Dead"
Blair Witch Project? (That movie is scary, but they really didn't have any good reason to go down the profanity route so much...) Thumbs DOWN!!
I'm all ears!!
The Amityville Horror was good (the James Brolin/Margot Kidder one).
So I guess you would classify yourself as a chainsaw and goalie-mask sort of guy?

Not sure, but I think I might have seen that on cable years ago... hey, I’m old, I get to forget, it’s part of the program!
For a lighthearted Halloween, you can’t beat Killer Klowns From Outer Space.
Also fun is to have a William Castle marathon: House On Haunted Hill, Mr. Sardonicus, 13 Ghosts, The Tingler...
For actual scary, I’d go with the original version of The Omen and John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness (his version of The Thing is also a good choice)
Oh yea - tell me about it....some of the memorable scenes include the silver ball imbedding itself into people’s foreheads and then a drill bit with a saw doing it’s thing into the skull. Another scene I remember is the undertaker walking around with a coffin under his arms, like he’s carrying around a sheet of plywood.
Here’s a good 18 minute one you can view online which may interest you!

The Shining.
One of the best of Stephen King’s books to movie with Jack Nicholson.
These were already mentioned, but I enjoyed The Thing (the one in theaters), and The Shining.
It depends on an individuals taste. There are a lot of good ones and boatloads of bad ones like Tsui Hark’s Vampire Hunters.
"I am Legend" good for Hallowe'en with Will Smith. Remake of an old Vincent Price movie which I also like.
"The Raven" with Vincent Price is more funny than scary with Peter Lorre and a VERY young Jack Nicholson.
The Lost Boys (1987)
It was a fun movie to watch.
It Came From Kenya
Return of the Empty Catch-Phrases.
Dark Night of the Scarecrow
Don’t be afraid of the dark
Trilogy of Terror
Nobody has mentioned “Fright Night” or “The Frighteners”.
Both are more than worth the watch. IMHO.
Seven, The Silence of the Lambs, Frailty, Theater of Blood
