“”Personnel, including reserve forces, are prohibited from wearing military uniforms at political campaign or election events. Attendance at rallies, meetings and conventions as a spectator and not in uniform is allowed.””
I can’t speak for Naval regulations, but Army - definitely not. Retirees and honorably discharged Army may wear their dress uniform to funerals, at patriotic parades or parades on national holidays, and while travelling to their home of record within three months of discharge. Any other purpose is prohibited (with few exceptions such as teaching at a military facility).
It is a shame to see someone degrade the uniform. It is a poor choice and in bad taste.
Male service members shall not wear earrings while wearing their uniforms. Guess this thailor missed that block of instruction.
Y-M-C-A
It’s fun to be at the Y-M-C-A
NO. You can however throw someone else’s medals over the white house fence as a protest.
Answer is Yes, when they are bashing punk skulls with the butts of their M-16’s.
Does a male wearing an earring in his right ear mean the same thing it did when I was a teen?!
no-
But notice the gay earing on this seamen.
That’s sort of what the Democrats wanted all along.
I hope these erstwhile patriots are eschewing their veterans’ benefits. Dressing in uniform with medals is not illegal just tacky.
No...
but wearing the uniform at “civilian” functions is at the discretion of the service member such as a wedding, etc.
My mother loved it when my husband would wear his Navy uniform so every New Year’s, at their country club, he would wear his mess dress for her - this in CA. One year, some a**hole asked why he was dressed up for Halloween at the New Year’s party (CA libdim). My clever husband said if he was going to dress up for Halloween, he’d dress as an Army officer...
No flames. please... Husband went to Army War College proudly and we have many Army friends...cheers!
j. Wearing Army uniforms is prohibited in the following situations:
(1) In connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interests, or when engaged in off-duty civilian employment.
(2) When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations, except as authorized by competent authority.
(3) When attending any meeting or event that is a function of, or is sponsored by, an extremist organization.
(4) When wearing the uniform would bring discredit upon the Army.
(5) When specifically prohibited by Army regulations.
Forrest Gump did it.
