A paratransit bus driver intentionally rammed a Hells Angels biker on Interstate 580, and then dragged him about a mile, killing him, a CHP spokesman said.
The biker, who has not been identified, was traveling eastbound on I-580 in San Leandro near Grand Avenue with a small group of Hells Angels members before 4 p.m. when an altercation began, said CHP Sgt. Trent Cross. After being hit, the motorcyclist and his bike were dragged for about a mile, said San Leandro police Lt. Greg Lemmon. Eventually, the biker was released from under the East Bay Paratransit bus, but the driver kept dragging the motorcycle, which was wedged underneath the front grill, until the vehicle stopped on the shoulder just east of the 150th Avenue onramp.
The Hells Angels biker was flown to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where he was pronounced dead, Lemmon said.
The bus driver has been arrested, Lemmon said. Police are interviewing four witnesses who saw the incident.
"The preliminary information they are providing was that it wasn't an accident, it was an intentional ramming," Lemmon said.
All eastbound lanes were closed from Grand Avenue to 150th Avenue so police could conduct a homicide investigation over a large swath of freeway, Cross said. The lanes were expected to remain closed until 10 or 11 p.m., he said, and there were significant traffic delays in the area.
An East Bay Paratransit manager referred calls to First Transit, a contract agency that operates the bus. The First Transit representative did not return calls.
No passengers were on board the bus during the collision, said San Leandro police Sgt. Doug Calcagno. The paratransit bus provides door-to-door service for people unable to ride regular public transit because of disabilities.
It has been a tragic autumn for the Hells Angels motorcycle club.
San Jose chapter President Jeffrey "Jethro" Pettigrew was killed outside a Nevada casino last month. At his packed funeral Oct. 15, Steve Tausan, a 52-year-old Hells Angels enforcer and friend of Pettigrew's, was shot dead.
Also on Saturday, San Jose police served a search warrant at a Stockton house for 38-year-old Steven Ruiz, whom they say killed Tausan. After a lengthy standoff, police determined he was not in the house.
more to this methinks.
No doubt.
I think that the problem is that we, as a society, do not take the things of God seriously. I certainly didn’t until almost 20 years ago. Now when I see one of those movies that infers gratuitous sex and violence(I don’t watch the R rated porn), I feel sorry for the characters involved because the probability is great that neither they nor the actor portraying them will ever hear that God loves them and has a plan for their lives. All life is precious to the Lord, even what some would consider a “dirt bag biker”, and every sin is forgiven by God except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
My ministry is to tell everybody about Jesus and the need for repentance(change). Some of the very worst get it, some of the best do not.
If you ask Jesus to forgive your sins - He will!
If you ask Jesus to save you - He will!
He turns no repentant sinner away.
What more do you need to know?
From the Bible: The Gospel according to St. Matthew 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

I said the few I knew were great people. I didn't say I wanted to be a member, no way.
I'd like to get a count of how many people have ever been impacted by a red and white on this thread.
Yes, I know what it takes to become a member. So, if there weren't any Red and Whites, there wouldn't be drug abuse, prostitution? From my understanding, they don't go out murdering for fun since there's that whole jail and/or death penalty thing. You enter into a deal with them and try to burn them, don't come running to me, they knew what type of people they were working with.
I had an acquaintance who wanted to be a prospect. One of his friends luckily talked him out of it since once you're in, it's pretty hard to leave unless you die.
If you leave them alone, they generally leave you alone. You screw them over somehow, then I hope you're a Christian and believe in God although I don't see how a Christian could be in a deal with them unless it was 100% legitimate.
Among the most hateful things I’ve read on this site. I’m ashamed of some of the freepers on this thread.
When my baby niece went missing several years ago, it was the Hells Angels who went door to door looking for her. They were some of the sweetest people I’ve ever known.
I pray for the sick hearts of those here who are so hateful they celebrate the murder of a biker. I pray you find forgiveness from your creator when you face Him and have to explain your comments.
“Could be simple road rage. The biker cut him off or something..”
This reminds me of two things:
1. The advice that one should pick one’s fights, and,
2. The joke, “Q: What do you do if a pit bull is humping your leg? A: Act interested.”
Some things you should just shrug off - getting cut off or whatever by a Hell’s Angel is one of them.
Except the WBC aren't really Baptists.
Aren't HAs the ones protesting the Wesboro Baptist church when they protest soldier's funerals?
NO. That is done by the Patriot Guard Riders. They're NOT a 2%er club.
Revenge of the bus driver nerd. Were the passengers screaming at him all the while?
I believe you mean a 1%er club.
I’ve heard both used.
There is no nationwide network of Phelpsians!
Could it be the chap was a recent immigrant, not familiar with this gang?
And had they found the child, woe on the person whose house or yard she was found in? Without stopping to inquire into the reason? Sometimes even knights in shining armor spoil for a fight.
She was found. I’m sure she would have been found eventually without their help, but because they were going door to door, the homeowner who was “hosting” my niece found her sooner than she would have otherwise. My niece went to the neighbor’s house to “visit” the neighbor’s dog. She was only 2 at the time, and had helped herself to the backyard through the back gate.
I wouldn’t doubt that some HAs are part of the Patriot Guard...a few that I knew were military vets.
And as I said in my last post, she was found at a neighbor's house playing in the backyard with the neighbor's dog. The neighbor checked the yard and found her...gave her to the Angel who was there and my niece was brought home safe and sound and the neighbor was unharmed...and greatful to have been alerted to the need to look for her. No fights, no threats, just joy at having found my baby niece!
Could be, it is probably a mash-up of different incidents. Watching it today I must admit I find it kind of goofy and the ‘thugs’ not very intimidating. Shows how much our culture has changed in many ways.
Yeah, those Triumph Thunderbirds are nice. My great-uncle had a 60s 650 Bonnie which my dad inherited when I was about 11. Sadly my pop sold it. I might look around for one, though I am not sure if I could get used to the right-hand shift lever.
Well, I've rubbed elbows with the MC culture for a very long time, and I've never heard the term, "2%er".
