I hope it goes to 7 games too. Whatever the outcome, that 7th game is always memorable. Heck I still remembet Don Dinkinger’s game changing bad call 20 years ago.

If Kinsler makes a decent throw on an ordinary ground ball, it never comes down to the umpire’s call.
Rangers flat out choked out there tonight.

MLB should be keeping an eye on that first base umpire’s checking account during the off-season...

Similar thought when he missed that OBVIOUS out and called the runner safe that cascaded into the St.L. scores.

It always comes down to the umpire's call. That ump had a clear view of the tag two steps off base. Instead, he was already looking at the bag long before they got there. All he could do is point at the bag, which was no where near the play, by MLB standards.
But, these guys are tenured like professors. Have you ever heard of a major league sports umpire being let go for making bad calls? They only leave by retiring, dieing or getting caught betting on games.

Still, you have to keep your composure when bad calls happen, the Rangers totally lost focus after that.
Washington should have let himself get tossed out, I think that would have fired up the Rangers even more.

Well, you’ve nailed us.
Yes, everyone at my World Series party here in St. Louis admits to submissions of $1.75 per capita to the Umpire Bribe Fund....
After all, according to the idiot Sports Media, how else could we POSSIBLY beat the mighty American League Rangers?
Long way to go, still. The Rangers are a balanced, experienced team, and I hate that bandbox of a ballpark where no lead is safe.

That pivotal blown call was in Game 6, and it was key to the Cardinals losing the game. BUT, they collapsed after that, and the next day in Game 7.
Dennkinger blew it. Badly. But ultimately, the collpase was on the Cardinals that year.

Of course in the Rangers’ case, Washington being tossed would be “addition by subtraction.”
