Well..we will see...if you think firing up the entire Middle East is a good idea right now with Obama and his band of leftist traitors and nuts at the helm and our country teetering on the verge of fiscal bankruptcy..so be it.

Bush didn’t “scare” Moamar into anything. The deal was oil company access to Libyan resources for Libyan access to technology, markets, and money...

Relax; this was just a gentle, satirical dig at some of my fellow conservatives.

Sales of the Barack Obama special forces action figure will soar again.
Obama personally took out Bin Laden; now we will probably hear he got Ghaddafi.

Sorry - there's just too much stupidity goin' round. As with many issues, folks seem to think that celebrating this event could be perceived as a nod to the President. We saw the same thing when Osama bought the farm. Rather than saying "good job" and being done with it, the responses boiled down to:

A: What took so long? Obama is a failure

B: Why are we involved? Obama is a failure

C: This changes nothing. Obama is a failure

D: This changes everything. Obama is a failure

I for one am glad to see a guy that really needed killing dead. And if my government had anything to do with it, so much the better - regardless who's in charge...

Obama has let everything(thousands of missiles and possible new WMDS) scatter to the four winds of Islamic terrorists and parts unknown.

That one's gonna come back to bite us...

No-one is denegrating our military or any task that they were assigned by our CIC. Many of us just find Obama’s involvement in uprisings all over the Middle East to be the very definition of stupid right now. The whole place is going to go up in flames and right into the hands of Islamists and terrorists!

Who is “we”? Oil is a multinational concern, traded in a world market. If you believe that the location of oil producer's parent companies is anything other than a convenience for both the company and the host nation, I've got bridge to sell you...

Sometimes you don't get to pick when the car goes over the cliff. And just what do you think the administration could have done about the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, or Libya? Nobody cared about Tunisia; in Egypt, the seat of power hasn't changed - they've been under martial law since the 80s, and still are - the only think different is the face on their stamps; and in Libya, a very bad man has been removed. Better the devil you know than the one you don't? I don't think so...

Oil is also a national security concern and since Obama and the democrats are killing our domestic energy production, we have a national security interest in not allowing the entire Middle East to fall into the hands of Islamists and communists. Obama, whether by stupidity, arrogance or complicity is lighting a powder keg that he cannot control.

If you can’t see that...then I can’t help you. I’m done trying to help you see the bigger picture. You are too stuck on ‘Blame Bush’ and ‘Big Oil’ crap.

“And just what do you think the administration could have done about the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, or Libya? “

Oh good grief..go read all of the threads around here and elsewhere that prove that Obama, Soros, the unions,Code Pink, and the global communists have been at the root of all of these uprisings!

You tell me why they are that deeply involved in all of this crap?

Where is our Reagan?

I heard she decided not to run.

For me - Romney is just another McCain, Bob Dole, dead end.

Domestic oil production has been dropping steadily since 1970. Why? The same reason we don’t make shoes or clothes or TVs or anything else - it’s cheaper overseas. And since oil’s a commodity traded on a world market and you make the same amount of money no matter where you sell it, overseas production means increased profits. The oil companies aren’t in business because they like you; they are in business because it’s a great way to make money.

“Domestic oil production has been dropping steadily since 1970”

Not true....in any sector(offshore or onshore)..but please notice the drastic drops since Obama and the dems have been in charge:

Your graph is offshore only. 2009 and 2010 are the first two years that domesitic production has increased since 1991, and the first two consecutive years of increased production since the mid 80s. Now what were you saying? http://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MCRFPUS1&f=A

A difference of 146,000 barrels is not a trend my FRiend and coupled with the dramatic drop in offshore production thanks to Obama..it’s a bust....just like taking a few boom years from the 70’s and extrapolating that ‘all domestic oil production has been in steady decline since the 70’s’ isn’t exactly true either. We will have to wait for the 2011 reports to truly have a clear idea how much damage that Obama has done, but sources in the energy field are screaming at the top of the roof that Obama is wrecking our domestic energy production..just like he is wrecking the coal industry.

Who you gonna believe..Obama or industry professionals?

In fact, we should probably not be getting any of our figures from the government now since the Obama Administration has been caught red handed manipulating data already.
