Despite the warnings, I never used to worry too much that my lifestyle might one day show on my face. After all, there was always make-up, moisturiser, even a touch of Botox as the years advanced. Surely my guilty habits couldnt make that much difference to my looks, could they?
And what habits would those be? Well, like most women, I crave chocolate and have been known to scoff three bars of Galaxy in one go if I desperately need a sugar fix. I smoked in my 20s and, although I officially quit at 30, I still succumb to the odd puff after a night on the merlot.

But now, at the age of 42, a fascinating experiment has made me rethink the whole way I live. For I have seen the future of my face. Or, rather, I have been given a glimpse of how it would look in ten years if I continue to ply my body with alcohol and excess sugar, or take up smoking again. The results were not a pretty sight and will serve as a stark warning to women who regularly enjoy a couple of glasses of wine a night or the odd sugary doughnut, and think it wont do them any harm.

Death wish? I dunno, she was however a bipolar freak.
Her autopsy was inconclusive...we don’t know if she died from red wine or something else.
Um, I don’t own a vinyard, so whether died from red wine or white powder makes no diff to me. The sad thing was a very sick bi-polar whose family could not save or did not want to save so long as they could ride her wealth and popularity. There are lots of kids like that now-a-days. Look at Lindsey Lohan!
The good news is that guys drinking beer will reverse the effect of how she looks.
I cannot judge her situation while she was alive any more than I can figure out if Dr. Conrad Murray is responsible for MJ’s death.
“women, age..get *over* it...or decide to have a face like Joan Rivers”
I hope no one ever looks like that clown Joan Rivers!
If some gal wants to know what she will look like in old age, she should look at her mother and forget about a little alcohol.. Ouch, its true...
Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering what the heck nottles were....some secret code for Laz..
Funny, I have a sister-in-law that drinks wine regularly and she is —hmmm- older shall we say...my SIL is...GORGEOUS so I think I may start drinking wine...
My hubby says as far as age showing...not the miles you travel that does that to you- it’s the stops you made along the way.
LOL daffy, so would I if I had their make-up artists...silly putty to fill in the wrinkles and lots of make up to cover the silly putty....
Great sentiments..hubby sounds like a keeper!
We've all got colds at our house, so last night I dusted off the bottle of Jameson's and made Hot Toddies for Mrs WBill and myself. 'Tis good for what ails 'ya. :-)
Thanks wb, a lovely dinner with special folk and a crackling fire and good beverages ....so nice on a crisp fall evening! To your Gramps!
Wish I had a useful remedy on a preventative for a cold coming on, other than two weeks in the sun in the Caribbean. Be well! :)
My wife drinks at least 2 drinks a day...and she is now 47 with recent pics on my homepage
proof is in the pudding....hell I think 2-4 glasses or red wine (there is no other) or beer or vodka actually helps..it chills her out after all these kids and business stress from helping run our endeavors
I don’t buy this.
Cigarettes are what hurts women’s face more than anything
mouth lines..that truck stop waitress look.
no worries though...given that over half of US women are at least 25 pounds overweight none of this will show up
fat plumps up the face..makes women look rounder and less wrinkled
Beautiful family, gorgeous wife, handsome dog and lovely property. You are blessed.
Meth doesn’t help, either. ;o)
Your wife is proof that this article is bunk. I agree about the cigarettes, though. They will age anyone.
I agree, too, that too many women, no matter their age, are “plumped up” to the point where wrinkles don’t matter. The fat fills out the wrinkles.
thank you
Raise that by one and watch your life slide down the drain.
Are the vitamins/supplements as effective?
