Gee, could he be going after Stern because he’s a JOOOOOOOO?
Gumble is a has been. He had his day in the sun on NBC and now is a no body no where to be seen except on a cable channel and program with few watchers. How the mighty have fallen.
I am amazed at how long this racist has been on TV
I don’t know if it’s the makeup, but Gumble sure is a very light-skinned fella.
Perhaps a poor choice of words in Gumbel but I agree with him that Stern needs to go.
I hate the NBA, so I’m just happy to have it off the air. I hope the owners never come to an agreement with the players, fire all of them, and start all over for next season.
Which Gumbel?
Gumbel should concentrate on paying child support, and leave basketball matters up to those who know something about responsibility.
Gumbel’s a tool. I hate the NBA, and get a chuckle out of their woes (they deserve it just for foisting the unbearable WNBA on my sports ticker). But the comparison to plantation owners is a bit off. After all, the players get 53% of the revenue under the owners’ current proposal. That’s a bit better than what the slaves got, as I understand it.
Gumbel—you’re a fool. Enslave me for $10 million.
These thugs make millions playing a game.
Go to work or go hungry, who gives a hoot.
Just proves it is not money which makes you a good person. No matter how much you pay these misfits they always return to the ghetto from where they hatched.
Of course he won’t be fired, despite his out-and-out racism. He’s a liberal. He said something PC.
Which Gumble?
HBO’s Gumbel is an idiot. I accidentally listened to a couple paragraphs of his monologue on World Cup Soccer, which he totally botched. No one ever told him that, far from a breath of fresh air, international “football” is just as crass, hyped, money and fame obsessed, and violent as any U.S. pastime. “Real Sports” is hosted by a guy who apparently knows nothing about sports. Embarassing for HBO.
Why, by the way, is nearly every sports documentary on HBO about race? Are they greenlit by Gumbel? I mean, based on tv movies like “Recount” and documentaries like “Obama: Isn’t He Great, 2008” and “Ted Kennedy: A Life (Minus the booze and murder), or Please Path Universal Healthcare,” I’m aware of the networks political leanings. But why this specific focus? Aren’t there lefty sports stories to tell on subjects other than race?
Path = pass
