Few years back, picked up this prebubbarized MN for 25 bucks. Reworked a $15.00 scout mount for solid fit and installed a $10.00 garage sale BSA pistol scope, made a lace up riser cheek piece from scrap leather. Result, a great truck gun which shoots correctly sized 175 grain GC hard cast boolits very accurately.

My son’s was made in 1937. All the serials match. It has the laminated stock. The bore is really clean.
It’s a nice rifle! Especially considering it’s 70 years old.
Pretty good kick. Pretty darn accurate at distance.
I can see why they made so many of them. It’s just a darn good rifle!

It works though you have never cleaned it. Ever. |
You have $9 per ounce special non-detergent synthetic Teflon infused oil for cleaning. |
It was last cleaned in Berlin in 1945. |
You are able to hit the broad side of a barn from inside. |
You are able to hit the broad side of a barn from 600 meters. |
You can hit the farm from two counties over. |
You buy cheap ammo by the case. |
You lovingly reload precision crafted rounds one by one. |
You dig your ammo out of a farmer's field in Ukraine and it works just fine. |
