The balloons used to drift over our neighborhood during the mass ascensions.

We landed in someone's front yard over in Rio Rancho!

Just about anywhere else on Earth, landing a 77,000+ cu. ft. hot air balloon in someone's front yard would be considered an affront.

In ABQ, they welcome you with coffee & Pepsi!

You’re making me homesick. I’m glad you are having a good time out there though. Sorry I’m not there to show you some of the garden spots like The Frontier, and the Chevy on a Stick.

Did they have a traffic jam on I-25 like they did in 2009?

I passed by it the day before going to a funeral in Farmington. When we left, we went accross the mountains to Taos and Clayton, then hwy 412 to home.

We lived in the River’s Edge area - is that where you ended up?

I could do without the balloon fiesta, but not without the Cumbres & Toltec RR.

Just announced:

The owner of the Durango and Siverton is now the new operator of the Cumbres & Toltec!! Look for an increase in passenger levels from 30,000 to 60,000 inside of five years.
