I still prefer to have them down there instead of on the stalk.

Just getting out of bed every morning and trying to walk to the kitchen without pain tells me how old I am, I don’t need to take any other test.........

Funny thing is that that isn’t even that old of a car (80s I’d guess) Its new enough for the fuse box to be on the dash.

I know what it is, and that is by far the best place for it. Much easier than screwing around with a stalk on a steering wheel column, accidentally turning on the windshield wipers etc.

What is this?

1. Headlight dimmer switch
2. Points - I had a ‘57 Pontiac and had to change them all the time.
3. Carburetor! Come on! Everybody knows what that is, right? Right? sigh...

An uncle of mine had a 1967 Lincoln Continental hardtop coupe with automatic headlight dimmers but it still had one of those. You depressed it with you foot to activate the electromechanical “scan” feature on the radio, and the tuner knob on the dashboard would seemingly turn by itself, lol. Old tv remotes would do the same thing, but via a radio signal.
