Unless the Cardinals win it all this year, it will be 7 different winners in the last 7 years. That's good for baseball.
From 1978 to 1987, there were 10 different winners.
1987 Minnesota Twins 1986 New York Mets 1985 Kansas City Royals 1984 Detroit Tigers 1983 Baltimore Orioles 1982 St. Louis Cardinals 1981 Los Angeles Dodgers 1980 Philadelphia Phillies 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates 1978 New York Yankees

Just make sure you're not grounded when you touch her...
There are a lot of Sabres’ fans from the nearby Ontario areas... You’ll also see many Leafs fans at the arena — they can’t get tix to Toronto games there so come down here. I’d guess that at a TOR vs. BUF home game, the crowd is about 60% Sabres, 40% Leafs. Makes for a pretty raucous event ;)
That’s how it is here when Pittsburgh and Buffalo come to Columbus. There were at least 20 busloads of Sabres fans here last year, and there were actually fights in the stands for the first time ever at Nationwide. It was like being back in Boston when Montreal would visit in the ‘80s ;-)
I have heard reports of idiot Sabres fans trekking to Blue Jackets games (among other cities) causing problems ... to my mind, you don’t go as a visitor to another’s “house” and pull that crap — a ticket doesn’t entitle you. I’m sure there’s enough stupidity to go around, but with just the cost of attending a pro game, it’s a dumb waste of time, at least.
It should get interesting if the Jackets go to the Eastern Conference next season.
