Looks to me like she had plastic surgery go wrong. At the UK site, there is a picture of how she looked on a previous wedding day... very different.

plastic surgery as you get older is harder to do as the muscles thin and ability to mould becomes much much harder to do. You can only hold it up so long.

I think so.
Is that plastic surgery on her face, or is that natural?
Why do people get that stuff, it looks so freakish!
Old looks better than plastic surgery!
*shiver* Sorry, but she looks terrible!

I just emailed this to my boss, who is from Spain, and nearly as old as the Duchess. She’ll get a kick out of it.

For a little (figurative) eye bleach for everyone, here's a photo of Raquel Welch when she was 70 years old.

Actually, if truth be known... at least this woman aged gracefully. Joan Rivers jokes that with all her plastic surgeries that when she cries, her bangs get wet. At some point, Joan’s knees will be pulled up to her chin. LOL!
To: Irenic
If that’s natural, then nature has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

LOL. In all fairness to Joan Rivers, at least she's willing poke fun at herself for it, and when she lets loose with some comment about it, it makes me laugh. Here's a little more eye bleach for you Raquel Welch fans out there.
I saw this movie on TV when I was about 10 years old. I fell in love.

My boss, the Spanish Battleax, says the Duchess is a very popular figure in Spain, and very physically fit for her age. (Spanish tv showed her dancing at her reception.) The gentleman, per the Battleax, is her travelling companion and assistant, not necessarily in a *personal* relationship, and the marriage is intended simply to keep all respectable.

My sister just had her 80th birthday and has a boyfriend that is not 70 yet. She’s not rich, but looks better than that gal with all her money and surgery. Sisters boy friend is younger than me, but not it the best of health, but he keeps her moving and they are happy..They have been together for about 5 years....don’t live together but he has a key to the house....very interesting to watch :O)

Some serious inbreeding there.
